  1. SERIOUSLY. WHAT THE-- *drops dead*
  2. What the ***?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
  3. Whew. Without Carroll in there, Plouffe would only be standing on third base right now.
  4. Why is Carroll in this game? He can't be that much faster...
  5. Hicks is exactly what we expected... Good eye, bad contact.
  6. How many times can Bert talk about yesterday's game that wasn't played? Also: Ramirez!
  7. I don't have much in the way of expectations as Correia goes through lineups a second or third time but so far, he has looked really good out there.
  8. Not meaningless, they're just useless as an indicator of performance.
  9. Meh. At least the Twins are consistently showing decent patience. That's somethin'.
  10. And if they're mature enough to get that, good on them. (insert gratuitous alcohol reference here)
  11. Still debating internally whether that is more or less negative than "Roll me over Joe!"
  12. I've tried to be positive about this team in recent weeks but Jesus, 9+ innings in and I already hate these guys.
  13. Kevin Correia's arm was just described as "fresh". Well, that's one way to put it, I suppose.
  14. Now you're implying that the Twins defense will do something really good. Madness. Cats and dogs, living together.
  15. I'm trying to listen to Hudler ironically but it's impossible. I listened to this dolt for too many years in Anaheim. He is not a smart man. He got busted for trying to get on an airplane with weed in his suitcase, for crying out loud.
  16. I'm trying to watch the Sox/Royals game. Not thinking, I clicked into the ChiSox feed and started developing a headache. I realized that it was due to the sound of Hawk Harrellson's voice. I immediately flipped to the Royals feed and realized that Rex Hudler is the color guy for the Royals. Good God, what do I do? My only other option is to watch the Astros play baseball, and nobody wants to do that.
  17. I don't agree. That implies the Twins defense will do something good, like get a safety.
  18. I wasn't being defensive. Now get off my lawn!
  19. "We'll have to take an injury break because Revere just dove into the newly-installed quicksand in the left-centerfield gap."
  20. Not ever caught, just rarely caught. I used "virtually unreachable" in previous posts and left out the "virtually" in that last one...
  21. Agreed, it also means less chances. I'm not sure how that will impact that metrics at all.
  22. It's a relative metric. It's not based on outright production, it's based on expected production. It's not difficult and methinks you're being deliberately obtuse about it. If you want outright production stats, there are plenty of them for you to use... But that's not what this conversation is about.
  23. It's possible but I don't think so. I'm also open to the idea that I may be wrong about this. Like I said, every MLB ballpark has unreachable zones, particularly in CF. In Citizen's, Revere will have fewer unreachable zones, particularly heading straight back to the wall, the hardest area of CF to reach quickly and reel in a ball. A smaller CF also means the player can play in a step or two and get a few more of those Texas Leaguers that drop in over second base. As for the pitching staff, better pitching equals weaker contact. Weaker contact means less line drives. Less line drives equals more balls caught by rangy players.
  24. Which is kind of funny because I was never high on Revere and wanted him traded the moment he started hitting in 2012. I merely think he'll be decent for a few years and then serviceable for a few more.
