Thanks Seth for this interesting angle on some of the prospects. Great idea to interview their old coach!

Thanks Seth. After seeing how this pipeline is developing, have taken a look at their young pitchers several times.

This article is the EPITOME of why I love Twins Daily. This is my favorite article you guys have written so far. I've been wondering all along why we draft so many Kentucky guys. Now I know. This is awesome. Seth, you are great at interviews and I really appreciate what you do for Twins Daily :)

That's a great interview! And a very nice read. It's great some of us fans can read things like this that we'd never been aware of. Thanks!

Fun read. Did he have anything of interst to say on the twins regional scout? Players on the KY team must get excited when he is in town.

I didn't, and I absolutely should have asked about them. There is certainly a very strong relationship there. You'd like to think there are a lot of similar situations and relationships with college and junior college coaches around the country.

Thanks for the article, Seth. I am not sure how you came up with idea to interview the Kentucky baseball coach, but it was a good one. These kind of articles are indeed a good reason to come to Twins Daily.

Good writing. The concept of "one pitch at a time" is important. It's more difficult to parse the action in dynamic sports like soccer or hockey, but because baseball has essentially a break in the action between each pitch, you really can isolate your concentration on doing one thing really well, which starting each play with an outstanding pitch.

Same thing is true in tennis and other racket sports, where the ability to ignore the occasion, the crowd, etc, is essential. That's when you can arrive at the best frame of mind for sports, which is having fun inside the game.

Good stuff!

here is another name in that pipeline: Chase Mullins. Really big (D tackle size) LHP who can reach high 90s with his FB. Missed all last season after TJ surgery. Interesting to see how he does in the spring.
