Things to Think About:

 

1. Think about September Baseball... The Twins... It hardly matters... For the Indians it's everything. They are struggling with the Rangers for a wild card spot... If the Twins beat them... They can knock them out. For the Twins... It hardly matters... For the Indians... It's everything. It isn't exactly what we are looking for but it's September baseball at Target Field and the stakes are high.

 

2. Think about the Indians... They are hot right now and they have to be hot right now. If they were not hot... They would not be in it. They are getting key hits at key times... They are making plays.

 

3. Think about the final series of the year... This is it... One team left to play and 4 games to go. Then it's time to shut er down and get prepped for complaining about our off season activity.

 

4. Think about 1,000 Wins... Dang It... I want it... I want it this year... 2 wins away and 4 to go... If Gardy is going to get it this year... The Twins will have to take two games from a team that should be giving everything they have. Put the Eye Black on!!!!

 

5. Think about time going by... My Youngest son is now taller than me... My Older son has been taller than me for quite some time. Well that's it... I'm done... There is nothing left to accomplish in my life. I've always understood that Growing older is mandatory... However Growing up is optional... So Growing up is easily scratched from my list and I have nothing left to do.

#3 Getting prepped for complaining about our off season activity? That's been in full swing since June. And I for one am going to enjoy this last series. Actually I'm not as I'm committed to other plans both Thursday and Friday night, and Saturday I'll be on a plane while the game is on (and I'm too cheap to buy inflight-wifi). But I'll be there Sunday for the last hurrah! One more turkey sandwich and one more minne-apple pie before they close the gates for the year.

 

#5 That's why I've added Growing out to mine - it's a process that's never finished.

I guess home runs can happen anytime, but it sure looks like a loss of composure for our pitcher after his error.

IMO its more that he doesn't have the stuff to survive against better hitting teams.
