...and Bruce Willis's character was dead the whole time in the Sixth Sense.

I think you were five minutes late when you went to see it in the theater.

Wait... What? Oh man, I must have missed that part.

Apparently, the Twins need to find more pitcher from independent leagues.

Albers reminded me of my Peewee hockey debut.

You pitched 8.1 innings in Peewee Hockey? I think you were doing something wrong.

Hey, I had a hat trick against Richfield, and I didn't move to Minnesota and learn to skate until I was five. These guys had 3 years on me.

I never get to see the post-game comments (I have mlb.tv which cuts off immediately) but I hope they press Gardy on why he gave Albers the hook.

our MEDIA? the few times the media has dared press him on an issue he demeans the guy asking with smart-allecky responses as if to say how dare you, mere mortal, questions my tactics...weakest group of reporters in baseball attend Gardy's postgame interviews.

I thought he really got after it out there tonight. Battled his tail off, attacked the zone, pitched ahead in the count, and kept the ball down.

And the MOST important thing, he didn't walk anybody AND he kept the strikeouts down.

Gardy said he thought he looked gassed out there so used the hook. But he heaped a ton on praise on him.

That's one of Gardy's go to phrases. Has 100 or more pitches, gonna pull him cause he must be gassed and it's a good excuse to use.

I have no idea whether he should have been pulled or not...I have no idea whether or not he was gassed...didn't watch the game...but Gardy says that kind of thing all the time and plenty of times the pitcher didn't look to be gassed at all. Not at all. Just because a guy hits 100 pitches and walks his first batter of the entire game, doesn't mean he's gassed.

Two baserunners in the ninth including a four-pitch walk was enough for me. Don't you think the majority of managers would have done about the same?

Also: the comment about the character of members of the media was a bit chippy even for a game thread. Let's keep the tone respectful of others, even ones not participating in the discussion.

Maybe, maybe not...some might have waited until he gave up a run, especially with a 7 run lead.

In any event, I think allowing two runners on with one out would be a better reason...and I'd say it like that, 'well he was starting to get in a bit of trouble there, so it was a good time to pull him'

And again, I didn't even see the game, and maybe he was gassed or looked gassed, but this whole gassed thing is way overused as a reason by him.
