The 2007 braves almost hit the 4 game streak think they were the most recent and the closest to the record i believe, they were shutout 30 innings

With 5 lefties coming up in the next 6 batters, that wouldn't be fair. Better stick with the Proven Closer^TM. (Yes, that was sarcasm - I agree completely, but but Capps took care of business faster than I could type.)

Fine, but you will have to admit, Gardy wouldn't have had the "guts" to pinch hit Plouffe for Butera in the 7th, exposing the club w/o an emergency catcher or spare bench player...

If Twins sweep Seattle and then start losing again when Gardenhire returns, then it might make sense for Gardenhire to take some more vacations.
