Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Yeah... But he didn't bleed! I pruned my hedges this week, and looked like I'd been ravaged by a pack of cats.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 If I'm allowed to show pride for a moment. My son just showed me a letter. In the letter it says that he made the UND school of medicine and health sciences Dean's list.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 What a great accomplishment Brian. Congrats. It's nice to get validation that we aren't totally screwing it up.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 I don't know if Dozier makes the All-Star game. Lots of great 2B choices. But... I think its possible that Suzuki may be there.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 You are funny. Fortunately I get paid by the hour to endure such meetings. Also, I did not mind the fact that my client is drop dead gorgeous. Read the plot synopsis on imdb! http://gifatron.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/its_a_trap.gif
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 My Mom calls me. I tell her the Twins are killing the Yankees. She says, well why didn't you call me and tell me, and hangs up.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 What a great accomplishment Brian. Congrats. It's nice to get validation that we aren't totally screwing it up. Yeah... I'll be smiling for at least a week or until he breaks the lawnmower or something.
Beezer07 Provisional Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 I'm fairly certain that Willingham could play as active a SS as Jeter these days
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Well this game turned into a snoozer
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Yeah... I'll be smiling for at least a week or until he breaks the lawnmower or something. I have girls, so I have repaired the springs on about 50 curling irons in the last 20 years.

Beezer07 Provisional Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Nolasco allows almost two baserunners per inning and only gives up one run? Witchcraft.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Cuddyer was DLed after his helmet incident. Speaking of drop-dead gorgeous, I enoyed "Intolerable Cruelty" with Catherine Zeta-Jones and George Clooney. It's a little light, but CZJ is truly drop-dead gorgeous.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 Nolasco allows almost two baserunners per inning and only gives up one run? Witchcraft. He's been watching Gibson and Deduno.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Ha! McCann limits himself to a single for fear of Arcia's arm.
cmathewson Provisional Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Yankees announcers giving Suzuki props for pitch framing on those two called third strikes.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Respect for Arcia's arm already growing. Rope into the corner and McCann doesn't even make a big turn. Granted he's a catcher and all, but... Edit: scooped by chitown, but making up for being late with a bonus question: At some point, will Arcia attempt to throw out a runner at first, ala Larry Walker's Montreal days?

Granted he's a catcher and all, but... He was probably worried about breaking an unwritten rule and then having to confront himself about it.
cmathewson Provisional Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Those who say arms don't matter should take note of tonight. Arcia saved at least one run, but arguably two with two absolute rockets.

Speaking of drop-dead gorgeous, I enoyed "Intolerable Cruelty" with Catherine Zeta-Jones and George Clooney. It's a little light, but CZJ is truly drop-dead gorgeous. I remember liking that movie. I thought Clooney was actually pretty funny. And yeah, Catherine Zeta-Jones is gorgeous.
cmathewson Provisional Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Tough challenge for Hicks here.

JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 C'mon Perk .... let's wrap this up quickly. No Drama.
longstrangetrip Verified Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 You know, Gardy is smarter sometimes than I give him credit for. I wanted to rip him for wasting Perk in a non-save situation, but he's looking ahead to tomorrow's Tanaka/Correia matchup, and realizing he ain't gonna need Perk tomorrow. Giving Perk a little work tonight is the right move.
