Minnesota Twins ace Pablo López exited his start last night in Sacramento due to an injury. While we’re not sure the extent of the injury, one thing that appears clear is Pablo will be going on the IL. Luckily, the Twins aren’t without other options. Is Simeon Woods Richardson coming back? Will David Festa return? Or will Derek Falvey call an audible and go in a different direction? Let’s talk about it in this edition of Twin Case You Missed It.

While trying to remain optimistic about Lopez's injury, a look at FanGraphs injury report of pitchers with lat injuries indicates a minimum of 6 weeks before even starting a rehab assignment, so best case scenario we're looking at an early August return.

SWR pitched last night, he got knocked around a little, and, as of now, Festa is scheduled to pitch today. Maybe fly Festa out to Sacramento to take tomorrow's start, allowing Ober, Paddack, and Ryan to pitch the Toronto series on an extra days rest.
