    Obviously enough folks think so to have voted him in. So, on that basis, yes. I didn't say I was right; it is my opinion that as a third baseman, Machado is better.

    Something of the same for me, but even though he's having a bum year at the plate, Manny Machado is the best 3B in baseball. I picked Molina over Posey and wrote in Carlos Beltran as DH. He's having a bum year too, coming off another injury, but you look at his record over 20 years, he's been an All-Star everywhere he's been. Strictly on the basis of outstand performances, do you think there ought to be a place on the AL squad for Buxton? Like, as a late-inning replacement (just so long as he doesn't have to bat)?

    Speaking of trades, can't complain on the reasoning behind Nunez for Mejia, but I for one will miss seeing Nunez around. He's come into his own this year, a career season so far, and how long he can keep it up or how it may change with the Giants and the National League, who knows? But this year, playing half a season with a bunch of flagging prospects and stiffs, he's been a breath of fresh and its been fun to watch him play, I like his style and attitude. I wrote him a letter over the weekend to tell him so. That's only the third time I've ever written a letter to a professional baseball player. The first was to Mickey Mantle, who replied with an autograph and poster, and the second was to Frank Viola, who said nothing after I ragged his ass for having a bad year with the Red Sox and ruining the pitching stafs on my fantasy baseball team.

    Please, don't trade Nunez. You turn on the TV and he's the only one out there worth watching. Maybe Kepler one of these days, Grossman until such time that he refinds his own level (which can't be far off). Abad, Burbi and Chagois may all be worth something, but they're one or two inning guys and by the time the Twins get to the late innings, there's rarely anything left to save. Maybe they could start 'em for one inning each, then bring in Nolasco and Jepsen to take the rest of the five, six innings for the team.
