Jose Miranda hit his 25th home run of the season and added three more hits for the Saints. Jordan Balazovic delivered six shutout innings of work for Wichita. Matt Wallner hit his 11th homer of the year for Cedar Rapids. Randy Dobnak had a great rehab start for Fort Myers. The Twins got crushed and Kenta Maeda left with an injury but Jorge Polanco hit his 22nd home run of the season. View full video -
The Minnesota Twins lost at Yankee Stadium but it was another stellar performance from Jorge Polanco. Jake Cave also homered and made a diving catch. Andrew Albers became the first player in Twins history to have three separate stints with the club and pitched well. Also minor league highlights of Drew Maggi, Gilberto Celestino, Spencer Steer and Yunior Severino.

The Minnesota Twins were walk-off winners thanks to Jorge Polanco for the second straight night. The bullpen was brilliant, delivering four shutout innings to buy the lineup the time it needed. Nelson Cruz received a warm welcome back to Minnesota and crushed a home run in his first game against the Twins since being traded to Tampa Bay. Brent Rooker was 4-for-5 with a home run in that game and Michael Pineda left with an injury. Lewis Thorpe had an encouraging outing with the St. Paul Saints that could put him in line to replace Big Mike. Miguel Sanó has been difficult to watch most of the past two seasons but is on a nice hot streak. It's easy to forget when he's in one of his awful slumps that this guy has had some really good seasons. With the Minnesota Twins already having an extensive offseason to-do list, I'm settling into the fact Sanó is most likely going to get one more chance in 2022.
