  1. It‘s not even really tin foil. When he hurt his ankle in the Atlanta game, he was shown on the sidelines getting it taped during the game. If he was ever examined for a concussion yesterday, I didn’t see it. Not saying it didn’t happen but I didn’t see it. Then he gets symptoms, hours later on the plane? I guess it would be more believable if the league didn’t have people watching for head injuries during the games
  2. I am someone who was so shaken by how poorly Darnold finished last season, that I supported moving on from him because of how overwhelmed he looked in those games. I guess my caveat should have been, I support moving on IF the people evaluating his talent feel like he wouldn’t be as equally overwhelmed but with far less talent than SD. I’m getting big “what did you know and when did you know it?” vibes here. I really hope they didn’t see this train wreck coming and decided to go forward anyway. It’s hard for me to believe that a coach and GM would sign their own death certificates like that
  3. Felt the symptoms on the plane? wtf? Was he ever examined during the game? My goodness what a cluster****
  4. Every game it becomes more certain they will bring someone in. There is a basic minimum standard that needs to be met with the quarterback. Otherwise it’s not fair to the players and staff. It sounds great in theory to be ultra sucky for a whole year, but games still need to be played and you can’t do that with a guy putting up a high school stat line. If this continues on at its current pace, you may indeed see Brosmer. Not that that’s probably a solution either.
  5. This is as good a year to do it if anything is. I believe we have ten picks? This is one year I wouldn’t mind if they lost out. But someone else needs to be making the picks.
  6. This is actually the preferable outcome. With ponder, he was bad but not totally lost so he got multiple years. If McCarthy is not it, it will be much better to know right away. Quarterback purgatory is hell
  7. Heck, Teddy was still throwing passes yesterday. Who knows what would’ve happened if he didn’t destroy his knee..
  8. Now? Because he let a 14 game winner walk for McCarthy. It’s the NFL and the QB position makes or breaks teams. I can’t think of a baseball comparison where one guy would have a comparable impact to a quarterback. It’s pretty much that simple.
  9. According to the Skor North guys, yesterday’s JJ performance was the worst QBR for a Viking QB since SPERGON WYNN against the packers in 2001 (11 of 30 and 3 picks) This is not good company
  10. Poor Teddy, running for his life, just softball underhand pitched that one away lol
  11. That second half reminded of one of the Jim Mora rants. “We couldn’t make a first down. We couldn’t run the ball. We didn’t try to run the ball. We couldn’t complete a pass. We sucked in that second half.”
  12. What a disaster scenario and half for Tampa. LA looks like the team to beat in the NFC
  13. Mayfield’s shoulder not looking good. I think we’re going to get some Teddy Time
  14. Mayfield a bit dinged up. Bridgewater is their backup.
  15. Heart breaking loss for Philly. Too bad.
  16. All this being said, I cannot wait to see what Darnold does in the playoffs. Will it be a disaster again or will he somehow be competent
  17. Nobody wants young QBs to sit the bench anymore and I’ve always thought that was silly. Maybe they couldn’t make it work money wise with Darnold but would two more years of JJM sitting the bench been the end of the world? Or did SD want more years? Maybe it just wouldn’t have worked anyway, but they sure went all in on JJM and that seems to be ill conceived at this moment
  18. That’s what I mean when I say people will lose their jobs. If there were anything positive to look at, you would be willing to cut some slack. But there’s nothing. And you let a 14 game winner walk for him. Who was evaluating his talent that thought he would work. Was it arrogance?
  19. Credit to the cowboys for batting back
  20. Kirko 14/20 1 TD 1 INT 118 yds
  21. Honestly, the Vikings have had success in the 30+ years I’ve been following with the veteran strategy. McMahon, moon, Cunningham, George, Favre, keenum, cousins, Darnold…all playoff quarterbacks. Should have won two super bowls. But you have to hit on the drafts to make it work.
  22. He’s not going to be a free agent though, it would be a trade not a FA signing
  23. 3.9 million for Mac jones next year?
