  1. Didnt seem to make much of a difference. 4 baserunners all day. One thing that gets missed, every outing by a reliever. What’s that do as the season goes on? When you have 5-10+ more outings than you needed to have because of early hooks. What’s that do to your velocity in August, September? These extra outs needed from the bullpen aren’t without consequence.
  2. He had one inning with two guys on base and got out with no problem. Other than that, nada. I don’t know man. Gotta learn at some point. Wins and losses may not matter to most, but I got to believe pitchers care. One out away? Weak.
  3. Mostly every pitcher’s velocity is going to decrease when the game goes on. That can’t always be a reason to take a guy out in the 5th inning. Plus it’s about 125 degrees in Dc. Most guys aren’t going to be throwing harder as the game wears on.
  4. SWR yanked at 77 pitches. 3 hits through 4 2/3. Overmanaging
  5. This feeling is like when I was a teenager and I finally….graduated high school
  6. 72 pitches for Ryan. Would need an awfully economical inning to get a CG
  7. The gem he threw in game 2 of the ALDS (and game 1 of the WC) put the expectations off the charts, simply because twins fans hadn’t seen a postseason performance like that since probably Johan in ‘04. Then of course the marketing wizards jumped on the opportunity to create “Pablo Day”, to help sell tickets and merch. It was almost impossible not to disappoint after that. Pablo seems like a pretty good starter to me, but is he a true “ace”? Not been ace-like this year. Pretty much all our starters seem to be at the same level of performance. Above average, but none are shut-everything-down dominant.
  8. Stomped by a team on a 5 game losing streak. With our ace on the mound. What will rock bottom be?
  9. Wow, longest losing streak since April 2018
  10. You jest, but I think he’s technically our hottest hitter right now
  11. “Both teams came in struggling” And only one is leaving!
  12. He could probably hit up the local sandlot and find similar displays of baseball
