  1. He’ll get a shot bc so many teams need a guy, but now he may be going to one of those bad situation teams where he’s got much less talent around him. Not only cost himself big money but also probably cost himself a shot with a good team. Although I guess maybe a Pittsburgh type team could grab him
  2. It will be interesting to see if the Vikings grab a running back, now that the RB position is enjoying a bit of a resurgence. They actually didn’t run the ball THAT poorly last night, they just couldn’t stick with it as the game got out of hand. Anything to take pressure off of McCarthy.
  3. It does happen a lot though that a guy plays with an injury that affects his play and then that shatters his confidence. You can’t play the qb position when you’re doubting yourself like that. I think he was mortified of throwing a bad pick, and when your accuracy is out the window, you end up hanging on to the ball too long.
  4. That’ll help set the playoff sack record for sure
  5. He just looked panicked every time we attempted to pass. He was holding the ball for over 4 seconds on a lot of his sacks. 4! The most egregious one was on third down late in the game. Just launch it somewhere, get a penalty or something. I think his nerves took the whole team out of the game. It affects the whole team when the QB is a head case
  6. Yeah, it didn’t make him not even look at Jefferson on that WR screen
  7. I wonder if it will come out that his hand is more injured than anyone knows
  8. I’m pulling for the rams or commanders. I will not be pulling for the lions nor eagles.
  9. Even though Seattle didn’t make the playoffs, the Vikings NEVER win there. And he went on that drive after falling behind, and hit dimes. He had that couple game blip mid season, but that’s every quarterback in the league. if I had to guess, I would say he was totally stripped of his confidence in that lions game. Totally afraid to make the bad throw. He was terribly indecisive tonight. He didn’t even throw the one sceeen that was set up well
  10. Well you know what to do, then.
  11. This is what Red Sox fans went through for generations. My grandpa was one. This will be the most cliche things ever, but you cure it by just going out and doing it! What did the ‘04 Red Sox do when they beat the Yankees? They made a few plays and it started rolling. They never looked back after that game 4 win. And then did it in the World Series. And then three more times just for the **** if it. I think having some mentally strong players definitely helps. The 04 Red Sox were just dudes (another cliche), mostly. Just ball players who came through when they had the chance. Vikings have had far too many mentally weak players. Talented but mentally not tough.
  12. In a way, I understand, even as someone who suggested it. It wasn’t changing anything. That sequence late in the second quarter was catastrophic and decided the game.
  13. Only thing I could say was that this was supposed to be their home game. Even had their logo on the field.
  14. This was December 29
  15. I definitely underestimated how much the wildfire stuff was going to be the story, and subsequently how much the rams were going to draw off if it. I come away feeling like the Vikings really never had a chance coming in to this game.
  16. Like, that would have been a bad game for New York jets Sam darnold. Its hard for me to understand
  17. See that, mods! I tried it your way and look how it went! 😂
  18. He should be writing a book….” How to blow 40 million dollars in two weeks”
  19. This thread is full of me loving darnold. I wanted him to succeed and really thought he was the real deal. For once I wasn’t the curmudgeonly pessimist I am so infamous for being. All to be paid back like this 😂
  20. Someone has to explain what happened to Sam darnold. I watched that guy make a series of unbelievable throws to win the Seattle game. And has a few clutch passes to beat the packers. Someone has to explain the last two weeks. How does a guy completely and utterly lose all his confidence so quickly and severely?
  21. I had my whole family over to watch the game. They’re all fans too. We all just laughed and laughed and cursed and laughed. We’ve seen this a million times.
  22. Playoff record for sacks. Embarrassing
  23. People don’t really understand how embarrassing it is. We are becoming what the cubs and Red Sox were forever
  24. Just kneel it out
  25. Now we’re calling timeouts? Lol
