This is as good a year to do it if anything is. I believe we have ten picks? This is one year I wouldn’t mind if they lost out. But someone else needs to be making the picks.
-
This is actually the preferable outcome. With ponder, he was bad but not totally lost so he got multiple years. If McCarthy is not it, it will be much better to know right away. Quarterback purgatory is hell
-
Heck, Teddy was still throwing passes yesterday. Who knows what would’ve happened if he didn’t destroy his knee..
-
Now? Because he let a 14 game winner walk for McCarthy. It’s the NFL and the QB position makes or breaks teams. I can’t think of a baseball comparison where one guy would have a comparable impact to a quarterback. It’s pretty much that simple.
-
According to the Skor North guys, yesterday’s JJ performance was the worst QBR for a Viking QB since SPERGON WYNN against the packers in 2001 (11 of 30 and 3 picks) This is not good company
-
Poor Teddy, running for his life, just softball underhand pitched that one away lol
-
That second half reminded of one of the Jim Mora rants. “We couldn’t make a first down. We couldn’t run the ball. We didn’t try to run the ball. We couldn’t complete a pass. We sucked in that second half.”
-
What a disaster scenario and half for Tampa. LA looks like the team to beat in the NFC
-
Mayfield’s shoulder not looking good. I think we’re going to get some Teddy Time
-
Mayfield a bit dinged up. Bridgewater is their backup.

Heart breaking loss for Philly. Too bad.
-
All this being said, I cannot wait to see what Darnold does in the playoffs. Will it be a disaster again or will he somehow be competent
-
Nobody wants young QBs to sit the bench anymore and I’ve always thought that was silly. Maybe they couldn’t make it work money wise with Darnold but would two more years of JJM sitting the bench been the end of the world? Or did SD want more years? Maybe it just wouldn’t have worked anyway, but they sure went all in on JJM and that seems to be ill conceived at this moment
-
That’s what I mean when I say people will lose their jobs. If there were anything positive to look at, you would be willing to cut some slack. But there’s nothing. And you let a 14 game winner walk for him. Who was evaluating his talent that thought he would work. Was it arrogance?

Yikes.

Credit to the cowboys for batting back

Kirko 14/20 1 TD 1 INT 118 yds

Honestly, the Vikings have had success in the 30+ years I’ve been following with the veteran strategy. McMahon, moon, Cunningham, George, Favre, keenum, cousins, Darnold…all playoff quarterbacks. Should have won two super bowls. But you have to hit on the drafts to make it work.

He’s not going to be a free agent though, it would be a trade not a FA signing

3.9 million for Mac jones next year?

Eagles rolling

He was done so wrong by Zimmer, he’s had a decent career

They immediately improve it by bringing in a guy who can be at least mediocre at the quarterback position. Players aren’t interested in the long term plans that some of us have. They want to go to a place where they can win, or at the very least not have negative yardage in a half of football.

Maybe shedeur will be so good, the Vikings could get Dillon Gabriel for nothing next year 😂 kidding
