  1. If we are using AA for Educating and AAA for Fine Tuning, then I'm more than okay with the Fab 3 going to AA.
  2. Vargas better keep practicing at 1st base, as he's got the wrong foot on the base in that pic. LOL! If he can hit .270+ 25hr+ .340obp+ I don't care which foot he uses. Go Twins!
  3. I honestly think that if Sano, Polanco, and Rosario show that they can compete this Spring then why not send all 3 to AAA?! I personally don't care if that's the last level they were in or not. All 3 are proving their prospect status to be true this spring, so lets put all 3 at AAA! Buxton I could see going to AA for a month or so, as he's only played 1 game above A ball.
  4. With that type of attitude he's giving the Twins no choice but to make them move him up to the next level till he finally lands in Minnesota! "Dreaming" starting 5 2016: Phil Hughes Ervin Santana Alex Meyer Kyle Gibson/Trevor May (1 of these 2 are going to push each other off prob be traded) JO Berrios Not far behind (just to name a few): Stephen Gonsalves Lewis Thorpe Kohl Stewart
  5. I'd like to see May and Meyer excel this spring, and show the Twins how big that logjam is. Also, why would we put Pelfrey in the pen when we have so much young depth at AAA (Achter, Oliveros, and Tonkin). I personally would like to see our Long Relief Pitcher be Meyer or May, which ever 1 isn't the #5. I think it should go to May pending he has a good spring, and Meyer go to Long Relief so he can get a bite sized feeling of being an MLB Pitcher. If we want him or need him to be a SP (after 2-3 months) we can stretch him out in AAA for 2-3 starts. Kind of like what the Rays did with David Price. I like Milone as our #6 for the first 2-3 months as he has experience, and kick Pelfrey to the curb.
  6. I'm a huge Hamels fan, and i'd love to see him in the front of this rotation for 3-4 years. If I was the GM I'd trade Thorpe/Gonsalves, Travis Harrison, and Levi Michael.
  7. I personally don't think we need a catching prospect when we have 2 that'll be ready in 2 years when Suzuki and Pinto will be on there way out.
  8. May - #5 Meyer - Long Relief, so he stays somewhat stretched out Milone - 6th or 7th inning guy #6 starter till Meyer proves he's ready to be #6 Pelfrey - 6th or 7th inning guy at best, rather see him released for some youth! We all know that 1 of our 5 starters are going to get injured or something throughout this season, so keep Meyer and Milone throwing up in the Majors out of the pen. I also have some faith in Nolasco. After he came back from injury last year, in his last 7 starts his ERA was 2.70.
  9. I was only stating that it took Gomez 3-4 years to figure out how to play at the MLB Level consistently, and I see Hicks being the same way. Hicks has always been a slow starter in almost every level.
  10. I'm trying to figure why we'd be okay with running Shane Robinson out there? Good at defense, maybe so, but spend 4-7 million on Rasmus and still get good defense with a lot more power. He'll fill in the gap well, and if he has a nice 1st half, we can trade flip him for a nice prospect as Rasmus is just entering his prime years. He'd be an excellent bottom of the order guy! 1. Santana - SS 2. Mauer - 1b 3. Dozier - 2b 4. Hunter - RF 5. Plouffe - 3b 6. Arcia - LF 7. Vargas - DH 8. Rasmus - CF 9. Suzuki/Pinto - C What's not to like about that line up by spending 4-7 million more?!
  11. I think we should sign Colby Rasmus as our CF, and Schafer is our 4th OF! Hicks starts out in AAA. Hicks reminds me a lot of Gomez. It took Gomez 3-4 years to figure out how to play in MLB level of ball consistently. Rasmus is only 26 or 27 years old, so he'll fit in nicely into our rebuild, and when Buxton is ready then we can move Rasmus over to LF or RF. There is nothing wrong with giving Hicks, Rosario, and Buxton as many Minor League at bats as possible till August/September, or when an injury occurs. If we don't get Rasmus then we should start Danny in CF and Escobar at SS. It gives us our best lineup IMO.
