  1. "A bad idea is better than no idea at all." That is a classic from El Hawko.
  2. I never thought Twins fans would forget Harmon Killebrew, but it's possible.
  3. http://michiganauctioneer.files.wordpress.com/2013/12/workman1.jpg?w=299&h=194Baseball Glove. Circa 1890
  4. I hate this thread. The Twins got one stellar half out of Hunter, and one half that was horseshi*. Everyone can acknowledge this. He won't be back. This can be acknowledged now. Players fade away at the end. They all do. Goodbye, Torii. Thanks for the great first half with the bat, and the leadership (do doubt about it) all season long!
  5. I did the math. After the 9/1 game the Twins are 26-24 with Sano in the lineup (.520). Without Sano, the Twins are 42-39 (.519.) In terms of wins and losses he has no made absolutely do difference thus far. (Not what I expected!!!).
  6. Texas and San Diego remain tied prior to the start of their game.
  7. Molitor's challenge success rate coming into the game was 65%, which ranks fourth in the MLB. Last year Gardy was 54%. Guess which manager led MLB last year, and so far this year? (Prize to be unannounced).
  8. Yes, it would be nice to have the original source for that bit of information. I looked through the same document, and found your quote to be the closest fit; however, you're correct, Santana's suspension was not 162 games, so it remains confusing. Though I surmise he will be ineligible for a 163. One shouldn't have to surmise though.
  9. 86 to be safe. Almost .600 from here on out. Each loss makes it tougher. Gotta win em.
  10. This cow is going to be the off-season Hitting Coach for Eddie Rosario: cor . "It's all about plate discipline," says the cow. "I'll have you eating hay by May, my boy."
  11. When I lived in Knoxville I saw a couple of games at Elizabethton, TN and Johnson City, TN ... ... the "problem" there was the players were all such a raw level it was hard to project anything onto any of them ... ... with the exception of watching Matt Garza, who was already streaking through the system. I thought he acted like a petulant brat who thought he was better than everyone else (I don't think, in the long run, I was that wrong).
  12. Sounds like fun. Often the game isn't the only thing when you see a baseball game.
  13. Was Gonsalves (sp) pitching last night? How did he look? Complete and thorough analysis, please.
  14. That's why we are hanging around, yes.
  15. What is Tom Brunansky thinking? "God, I'm bored."
  16. Just think if you were a disinterested human American person tuning into a game called baseball for the first time and this was the game ... wouldn't win any newcomers tonight.
  17. How many times CAN a team shoot themselves in the foot? I mean once would hurt. Twice would be excruciating. Three would be insane. Four would be absolutely irresponsible. Five? Six?
  18. Home fans reaching for balls in play. Talk about YUCK. Upon further review, everyone did fine and I approve.
  19. The answer to all these posts ... YES?
  20. To continue the Bob Dylan thread within a thread: "You know what they say about bein’ nice to the right people on the way up Sooner or later you gonna meet them comin’ down"
  21. Too obvious. But when you put it that way, yes.
  22. Time for Torii's final MLB home run. Let's do it.
