  1. And the Twins fans are like: http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view/149430/sanchez-draft-o.gif
  2. You might as well boo me while you're at it.
  3. Looks like you forgot the option of sticking him behind the plate. Behind the catcher.
  4. Hahaha ... it's a good thing you specified which Eddie, or I would have been inclined to believe that we had Nunez batting after Escobar and the Eddies went back to back to back. Hmm, I'm rather enjoying the thought of that.
  5. For a little entertainment, here is a tweet by my prospect Todd Van Steensel. He's really quite the cornball.
  6. Todd Van Steensel just picked up his 6th save, pitching 2 innings versus the Lakeland Flying Tigers and allowing 1 hit to Javier Betancourt to lead off the 8th inning before sending the next 6 batters down in order, striking out 3 in the process.
  7. Would this work as Stringer's desktop background?
  8. There's a punctuation rule that I generally choose to ignore for the sake of a more conversational literary atmosphere: don't start sentences with coordinating conjunctions. And while I'm at it (look, I just did it!), I might as well add that a lot of older people don't like it when you use slang in writing. That's a rule that I religiously disregard.
  9. I'm not old (most of you already know that), and I used to think that periods/colons/question marks/exclamation points (am I missing anything?) were supposed to follow up with double spaces. TD taught me otherwise (I just realized yet another thing I learned on here!). I think it's kind of like the "like" button. You click once, and "You like this." You click again, and (well, I haven't done it, but it says "unlike" so let's just assume that's an option), and it goes away. You click a third time, and voila, there it is with "You like this" ... once. You make a period. And put one space after it. You make a period. And put two spaces after it. You make a period. And put three spaces after it. I hope my demonstration works. I'm currently using Internet Explorer, so it might not. But there's only one way to find out.
  10. becausethatwouldgetwaytoocomplicated.
  11. And of course congratulations to Trey Vavra and Trevor Hildenberger for being awarded Twins' minor league player/pitcher of the month. They deserve it! I'm very proud of my prospect. I only wish I could have a chance to watch him in Cedar Rapids before he gets promoted, but somehow I don't see that happening.
  12. Welcome to the American League, represented by the unsurpassed Kansas City Royals! (Oh wait, they're not in first place anymore, are they? "Good team, bad baseball"?) Obviously with an "#ASGWorthy" roster, this team should be able to win the World Series. I'm almost ready to lay down my money right now ... but I think I'll wait until after the Midsummer Classic just in case this All Star Team isn't good enough to even take home field advantage. If they couldn't win last year with that, they'll be hopeless without it this year. Also, if our American League representatives can't win the All Star Game, I think it would be fun to see a race between the Twins and the Indians at the end of the season. If the Indians won the pennant, they should do just fine with the away team advantage the All Star Royals would have earned them. Oh, and why doesn't MLB change their All Star Game hashtag to #StuffTheBallotBox? That seems pretty darn relevant to me.
  13. Uh-oh, looks like we got caught.
  14. Besides the fact that this previously has not been standard procedure, it would be too tempting to have a link to various valuable and informative sites for each letter in each players' name. It is an idea, however. You seem to forget the links to each adoptive "parent" though. Edit: I lost my edit button for that post. You have your work cut out for you!
  15. I know that we've all been talking about how people just won't take the Twins seriously and persist in singing the song of "bad team, good baseball." But this past series has gotten me, like everyone else, thinking on overdrive. How do I know it's not us more than anyone else who isn't taking this team seriously? Maybe instead of going crazy over a two-game losing streak we should turn it around and say "good team, bad baseball" like the White Sox. Seriously, we have more reason to do so at this point than almost any other team.
  16. I know Chi better than you then. The moment I saw your comment I knew she wouldn't be impressed.

  18. Never explain your jokes. That said, I think I'd have to go with Edit: I see you fixed that.
  19. I'm sorry to say that I can't even remember if I was one of them. To tell the truth, the thought has entered my head, but I know that TD is not free, and I appreciate it too much to recommend anything that would hurt the site, so I think not.
  20. Alright ... that hurts. I was not promoting adblock by any stretch of the imagination. But do people really pay attention to those things (as long as they don't redirect)? I understand that TD is making money off of them, which is not only fine but great, but are the companies?
  21. Surprisingly, for the first time in my life that I've had problems with TD, I didn't suspect Brock. Must mean something.
