  1. Using a tool like Rapsodo with kids is foolish. All you are doing is encouraging kids to exert more effort on their fastballs and tinker with their delivery on breaking balls. - both are classic no-no's when talking about youth arm injuries. You're not helping kids at all. You are hurting them
  2. FSL all star game is this weekend? Hope to see some promotions after. Maybe Diaz Larnach Duran Jeffers
  3. Hoping they can find some High upside HS arms down here
  4. What is this? As you say "impingement" could be anything. All you are doing is speculating and generalizing. You dont know what caused it or the prognosis. For all you know he blew something while reaching for ice cream.
  5. I am looking forward to Larnach and a few others getting out of Fort Myers: Larnach Slugging % splits: Home .373 Away .560
  6. Have to wonder if injuries to Wells and Gonsalves are related to the staff changing their delivery. There were a more than a few articles touting pitcher's "biomechanics" this spring. Pete Maki's methods might deserve scrutiny.
  7. I live in Red Sox Media market. The talk around Baldelli is similar to how Red Sox fans talked about Cora last year. But now after the Red Sox's slow start the knives are being sharpened. Cora deserved credit for last year just like Baldeli deserves credit this year. But one season does not a manager make. Its easier to be a good Manager when your team hits a gazzilion HR's.
  8. Blankenhorn's start is impossible to ignore. His K's are down, his power is up and he is getting on base. After his not great 2017 and his poor 2018 season I thought this was his make or break year and I expected him to struggle. He has not. Its too bad he can't play 3B.
  9. I think you meant to point your Lewis link to this: https://twitter.com/ParkerHageman/status/1129260391480143873?s=19
  10. Maybe this has been posted here already https://prospects365.com/2019/04/29/rays-ramblings-april-29th/ He has a pretty recent scouting report on Smeltzer: High 80s fastball Good offspeed and control Delivery deception.
  11. 4 K's for Baddoo. Yikes Why do they keep leading him off?It can't be great for Lewis to be batting behind an instant out. He needs a change, and a change of approach.
  12. You are saying that Wander Javier is injured with an early may return? Wen did that injury get announced? Last I heard they were just holding him back.
  13. Wade has played well to star the year. But it's be nice if he started turning those singles into doubles.
  14. Has there been any news on Smeltzer's head injury? Is he back with the team?
  15. Looking forward for Kirilloff, Gonsalves & Gordon to get healthy and Javier to get to cedar rapids.
  16. Not sure it still makes sense to keep putting Baddoo in the leadoff spot. His increasing strike outs are becoming a concern
  17. Alcala has started out well. Like the strikes outs and lack of baserunners. Now he needs to get deeper in games
  18. He has a knack for talking walks and sneaking GB's through the infield. So I think the more amazing feat would be if he can be the first ever with a .500 OB%
  19. Red Wings are getting close to becoming laughably bad. They need to turn it around and start playing the .400 level ball we expected.
  20. What the happened with Littell? If Wolfsons reporting is correct they told him he was going to be recalled. Then the Twins told him he wasnt needed. Then the Twins called up De Jong instead? If it happened the way Wolfson said it did that seems pretty bush leauge
  21. I am looking forward to Thorpe's season this year. I hope he can improve off his nice year last year. But outside of Thorpe and Graterol control looks to be a problem for these big arm guys. And if the Twins see Graterol as a bullpen arm, pitching could be an issue down the line. Better pay Berrios and make some more trades.
