  1. Terry Ryan was on before the ballgame last night and said that Parmelee will stay in the minors so he can play everyday rather than be called up and get sporatic play. Unless someone gets hurt it doesn't sound like he'll be up.
  2. Yeah it will be pretty interesting - 1500 definitely had the most baseball talk on it in town, but having officially branded Twins content would be neat. The Ron Gardenhire show was fun.
  3. Terrible, horrible, unlistenable come to mind. Correct
  4. R&M were abrasively joking how Samuel Deduno doesn't belong with the Twins and should host the new morning show on KTWIN next year, and that their program will soon be coming to end during today's show
  5. Depends on what their format will be. They were ghetto rap at once time, not sure what format that are in right now. I think Perkins was/is on the morning show...
  6. It should be interesting, the ESPN connection might help and keep them afloat, or like I said in the other thread I doubt the local programming will survive now that they just have gopher hockey and basketball, and they go all ESPN national, but who knows, time will tell.
  7. The magic squirrel hypothesis holds more water
  8. Scalpers are on 5th and 6th street between Hennepin and 1st Ave for the most part. As you found out, tonights game was in pretty high demand, surprisingly but with Rays, weekend, give away, fireworks, and bombers it was fairly packed beyond just the game. Stubhub and Ticket King are options, you can always get tix from the Twins themselves as they don't sell out. I know someone that was GIVEN 2 tickets (lower level, 3rd base line) when approached booth at Target Field after the game started (1st inning was underway).
  9. Maybe he was thinking about the softball long haul bombers that are going to be there tonight
  10. When he gave up looking for the ball and slowly walked to the outfield - that was perhaps the most damning thing I've seen him to do prove he just can't be in MLB.
  11. Which route do you think they will go Nick?
  12. The article doesn't make any new points that aren't well known and established already, offers no new insight, and it's Reusse's shtick to be cantankerous to those whom aren't in his favor. It's hard to say what his exact source of bitterness is, but my guess it has more than a little to being rude to everyone and squandering a carrer most sports fans would love to have being a alcoholic. He was saying that Mauer should tell the team he wont play, he's got bilateral leg weakness again, until this 'piece of crap' (Nishioka) is no longer on the team. (Later in that same conversation he calling Beloit a dump and other off topic name calling). Nishi didn't work out, and the main issue that none of the radio or paper media seem to dig into is what happened with the scouting, which is the real issue. I heard the first tidbit on that a couple weeks ago on the radio with TR when he claims 'they' went back to the tapes and still see a guy they want to bring over. Why that isn't looked into further rather than pointing out the obvious I don't know.
  13. My assumption has always been that he would be gone once Plouffe is healed up, which is supposed to be Friday. They needed to fill a hole, and perhaps also emphasis that this guy shouldn't be here, which I think the latter point has been driven home pretty well sadly.
  14. Bert very straight forwardly, and Dick supporting, just said that Nishioka shouldn't be in the big leagues.
  15. The epic collapse in quality the teams performance has taken deserves analysis. All of the things deserve to be looked at to see what the future might hold for them, Deduno is doing well because he lacks control and nobody knows where it will land - how long can that last? Willingham is doing great offensively, but what would happen if he could be traded, and what benefit is there to having a guy like that if the rest of the team isn't up to snuff? Questions like that should be asked and analyzed, wouldn't you agree?
  16. He was all over the place tonight, even for him
  17. I bet that Winless August and DFA Monster are pretty upset right now!
  18. I link it in this thread http://twinsdaily.com/showthread.php?1385-Target-Field-s-black-batter-s-eye
  19. I wish that I could take advantage of the Lighrail, by the time it gets to me its absolutely packed from people who hop on at MOA.
  20. The main instigator was Michael Cuddyer who claimed the shadows from the trees made playing in the outfield 'dangerous'.
  21. Very much agree. (Also that big ugly paint-streaked black wall was RAISED about 10 feet and obstructs center field viewing some).
  22. I don't know if its another shot... Plouffe is supposed to be back Friday. They just need a hole plugged for a couple of games.
  23. I think thats a great idea - but I don't know about writing two a week. Quality over quantity I think. I know part of the point is to add content often, but I don't know that I can come up with 2 unique topics or perspectives a week.
