  1. Sooner or later you need to realize that beating your head against a wall is only hurting yourself....
  2. At this point with their offensive production (read that how you will) being equally horrible right now, I play Kreidler every day because his glove is that much better than Gray's.
  3. I've noticed that a lot of posters, especially posters with a low post count, seem to value WAR and other metrics that can be misleading. I was just pointing out to the OP that WAR values vary from site to site.
  4. Depends where you look: fWAR - Keaschall 1.0, Martin 0.8 bWAR - Martin 1.1, Keaschall 0.7
  5. Looking at current (and some past) C contracts, the big money most of them got was in extensions, buying out 2 or 3 years of arbitration and 2 to 4 years of FA, effectively paying them well from roughly age 27 through 34, because, as stated, C generally don't age well also don't hit FA until about 30 years old, generally the start of the decline. Maybe Boras, or Jeffers himself, did not do him any favors not signing an extension before hitting FA. I still think that with 3 or 4 teams looking for C help down the stretch the Twins can get a decent return for him.
  6. The Brewers traded these pitchers before they hit 30, except Williams, he turned 30 late in late September of '24....that's what they can teach the Twins: develop them early and trade them while they are still young, but getting expensive.
  7. The Rays and Yankees both need help at C, get them bidding against each other and take the best deal (I know prospects are a crap shoot)...
  8. You have to try to split any two-game series, win 2 in a 3 game series, and split the 4 game series; it doesn't always happen, but that should get a team into the mid-90 win territory.
  9. Already lost a challenge, that and its only the top of the 4th, no use losing the second challenge yet.
  10. Hope Abel (elbow) can comeback from this procedure, Kirilloff (wrist) unfortunately could not...
  11. At least the team didn't need to use Paredes last night, I don't see Ober going more than 5.
  12. Looking at the balls/called strikes on Baseball Savant Illustrator, the HP umpire had an ugly game behind the dish. Those stats don't include the ABS challenges; MIN 4/6, CLE 1/3...
  13. Right, it's $6.5 MM for '27, $3.5 for '28.... "I never made a mistake in my life. I thought I did once, but I was wrong"
  14. So, who should get that error that wasn't scored an error?
  15. Second and third, nobody out... they can't possibly not score here, can they??
  16. So, not only did Lee not score on Clemens double, he get's picked off third. Really???
  17. I don't believe you make a trade with one of the teams you are chasing for a play-off spot...
