  1. I've said it before and I'll say it again -- I'd be good if Okert and Jackson didn't throw another pitch as a Twins player.
  2. You are correct. But if you look at tonight, 2 of the 3 threw and I'd imagine we would have seen the 3rd guy if this would have gotten to the 11th. I'm not saying throw them every single time that you get into these bridge situations. I'm just saying that it seems like this combo, at least until Stewart returns, is your best chance to get from the 7th to the end in a tight game.
  3. Yeah, I'll never figure out why you don't have some combo of those 3 guys over the last 3 innings. I know they like to tinker it to whatever portion of the order is up but KC showed us way back when that if you got 3 decent arms in the pen, that's your bridge from starter to win.
  4. I'd hope for Alcala but he got used up last night. So it might be, gulp, Thielbar. Edit: Wait, Jax threw 5 pitches last night. Get out there, Griffin!!
  5. You're right, the TV box is off and I'd argue that TV needs to do a better job of calibrating because it's off a lot on many broadcasts.
  6. Good Lord, I talk you up Staumont and you do this crap.
  7. It consistently amazes me how professional umpires can call a strike on a pitch that was never in the zone. The looping pitch that they claim clip the outside edge or the top edge of the zone. It tells me that they pay way too much attention to framing instead of watching the pitch the whole way through.
  8. Jackson is a liability. Sands is largely a liability. Staumont needs more run.
  9. 2 bleeding heart base hits sinks the lead. I understand staying low to try to get a ground ball but with a 2-2 count, I thought he could waste a belly-high heater and see if he could get Diaz to chase considering his eye line was low low low after the sequence of pitches.
  10. Love it when Correa loads up that cannon on a double play turn.
  11. There's the once-daily Ryan HR allowed.
  12. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
  13. And by not leaving Jax out there for the 9th, it messes up the rotation for extra innings. Who can we really trust that's left who can keep inherited runners in their place? Staumont, maybe? Or we can just get another base hit here and not worry about it.
  14. Nice 5-pitch inning out of Mr. Jax. Should send him out for the 9th if the Twins don't score here.
  15. There has to be better pitchers in St. Paul than whatever Jay Jackson brings to the table.
  16. I'd bet they suspend this game and continue it tomorrow afternoon prior to the regularly scheduled game.
  17. COME ON PABLO, THIS IS RIDICULOUS. FIX IT
  18. Moment of silence and pour one out during this pitching change for Willie Mays who passed this afternoon.
  19. Buxton's plate discipline might be the worst I've seen on this team since Rosario.
  20. The plate approaches with runners on base by everyone besides Lewis so far have been severely lacking.
  21. Might need Mother Nature to get involved in these proceedings and quickly.
  22. 7 out of 8!!! Let's keep it going against the Devil Dogs.
