I really don't understand the "he misread the ball" takes. Why is he trying to read anything? Just hustle after you hit the ball. Buxton does it every time, It's not that hard.
What would the outfield look like if you're benching Rosario? Wade, Arraez, Lamarre? Rosario drives me nuts and I'm hoping he's traded this offseason but you can't roll with that lineup when you're trying to clinch a division.
He kind of reminds me of Jeff McNeil. McNeil came up for the Mets as a second basemen who they moved all around the field last year and just hit everything. He added some power and has become a legit star this year.
Take a look at Kyle Lewis and Nico Hoerner's minor league numbers and MLB numbers since their recent call ups. Minor league numbers are meaningful but sometimes the talent just kicks in at the highest level.
If you're not feeling great about our bullpen acquisitions, check out what Atlanta, who supposedly did the most to improve their bullpen, is getting out of Greene, Melancon, and Martin. WOOF
For what it's worth I think the Rangers are quite a bit worse than the Brewers, despite their record's being similar. Minor and Lynn have just been tremendous this year. Should be a fun series.
Astudillo is an easy choice when Garver comes back. His bat is supposed to be his strength but it's been a weakness this year. He's also "versatile" but plays each position poorly.
