  1. I like. (does it rhyme with pie?) However not what i expected... If someone asked me how i would plural it... Well its.
  2. Not to be a ... chump but i hope we all have... fun. ( for illustration purposes only... still working on impeccable...come back later, as that rhyme is... up on it checkable) Me? After seeing the line up, i am wondering what chataclism may unfold when Vargas steps into the batter's box against Vargas...Vargasses? How do you plural it?
  3. The Minnesota Twins just went toe to toe for 11 rounds with Major League Champions of the World, the Royals of Kansas City, and this with the Bullpen pitching more than half of it. True, they let a run slip in to end the 12th inning prematurely, but still 'tis nothing to scoff at. Reminds me of a passage from scripture... "my brains, your brawn, his skill against 60 armed men and you think a little head jiggle will make me happy?" Things to think about: 1) Our Assets: Stocked farm system, now surging into the majors. 2) Liabilities: Er, is total systems failure a liability? I would describe as a symptom. Our actual liability is a bunch of other competitive well established Major League franchises. But i could be wrong about that. 3) Wheel barrow... The assets we didn't assess properly. It's kinda like a band wagon. But we don't get to jump on it until next season do we? In the meantime, we can fret over the off season, the new management. What not. 4) Anybody want a peanut? It would make my day if this were a thing with responses, but some smart aleck (more often than not, me) would start talking about oranges, and locksmiths just to be difficult... 5) Have fun storming the castle! (again, self explanatory) Without further ado... Twins 0. Ervin Santana ( R) P 1. Brian Dozier ( R) 2B 2. Jorge Polanco (S) SS 3. Robbie Grossman (S) LF 4. Miguel Sano (R ) DH 5. 4. He went shallow last time, i take it? I'm rooting for Beresford to knock him in. But your way works too.
  5. Last call. Bottom of 9th, needing a run to extend, and 2 not to.
  6. Down 4-3 in the bottom of the 8th. We can do this.
  7. Then all i will say is that we missed the extra point. And now the game is over.
  8. Now he has 2? Where did we go wrong?
  9. That's so you can get to the baseball game, right.
  10. Point of order. Do football scores need a spoiler alert? Or a trigger warning?
  11. Concur. Though i woulda been satisfied with a little hit... Still the game is young.
  12. Kepler!!!! (perhaps a wee bit slow, but needed to be said) Twins 2-1 after 2 cbu burma shave...
  13. How remiss... I did forget Opera season! My one venture into AT&T park was to see a simulcast of Rigaletto. And i recently watched Anne Russell's (first) farewell concert. Her summary of the ring cycle suffices.
  14. Elmer Fudd game thread. Is it... 1) Rabbit season? Them rascally varmints tend to get everywhere and eat everything. And around my wanderings, they don't much bother to keep out of sight. Bold as brass. 2) Baseball season? Not much more happening. Glancing at the standings, some games might mean something. But i've been here before. pretty much a foregone conclusion, that someone in the New England area will think up a fancy slogan, and the Red Sox will bring another championship back to New England... But there have got to be smaller reasons to care. What are yours? 3) Football season? Minnesota pro and college teams are both undefeated. Whoop didoo. I will let you fill in the foregone conclusions, You probably got all the fine details i haven't noticed, not being around all that much. 4) Duck season? Not that i have anything against ducks. I here you get down off a duck's back. They should have a season. 5) Fall? You might not have noticed, but in northern latitudes, days are now shorter than nights. I think day light savings time is just there to drive it home. Like a designated driver. One should not put with a driver... Well, whatever it is, there will be a baseball game played at Target Field, so i hear. Mariners 0. Taijuan Walker (R ) P 1. Guillermo Heredia (R ) LF 2. Franklin Gutierrez (R ) RF 3. 15. trombones lead the big parade... Wait. That doesn't sound quite right...
  16. I am to infer we have a lead and it's past the 5th? I ain't missed a Dozier Dinger, have i? Might a possible dinger warrant the risk of a bullpen implosion?
  17. Doh. I always forget about fluffest... Almost. Maybe that will make up for lack of crawling...
