    In times like these you have to turn to the minor league reports to cheer you up after watching the major league team. Problem is, no one is really impressing. Solid production from some, lackluster from others. Not even a Luke Hughes in the bunch.

    Rooker with his 36% strikeout rate coupled with a big fat 0% walk rate is rather worrisome. With nearly 80 plate appearances, he is quickly becoming a non prospect especially considering his age.

    Darvish and Cobb have been particulary putrid early this year. Can you imagine a world where the Twins had deep pockets and were able to sign Darvish and Cobb to go alongside with Lynn, Morrison and Rodney??! This place would be unbearable!!

    I'm currently watching this game to pass time before the T-Wolves game. Because this game is obviously over. And with the Wolves luck, I'll probably be done watching both sports by 8 o'clock.

    Morrison might as well not bring his bat to the plate this series. He's one of the worst batters in the league versus fastballs and the Yanks have the heat to scorch him.

    That Aaron Hicks had a real nice at bat even if the ump blew a call. He isn't hitting near .300 with an OBP over .400 by accident. I wonder how they acquired such a player.

    Great signing! For that money, he is worth the gamble that he can continue to build on last year's success. If not, no big deal.

    Are the Twins still very interested? I feel like Darvish isn't enthused about the prospects of joining the team otherwise there would have been a meeting set up by now.

    Cubs are now interested. He could still sign here but I think the Cubs have better chance given their resources.

    I'm not too disappointed. The chances were slim anyways. The Yankees were spurned as well and that's a victory right there!
