  1. Heard he was available in the Rule 5 draft. The Twins weren't interested apparently.
  2. Mejia sliding into 1st base! Good thing Molitor didn't challenge that call earlier!
  3. Wonder what Molitor had to go tell Berrios
  4. Yeah he looks like a slap hitter. Think Billy Burns or maybe Juan Pierre. Decent players in a backup role.
  5. Granite hasn't been very impressive with all his ground ball outs. Definitely a 4th outfielder.
  6. I think Colon might be the veteran leader after Santana gets traded. Besides, I rather watch Colon struggle then Wilk or other nobodies struggle.
  7. Twins pitchers would have better luck facing the 1927 Yankees lineup
  8. That was ugly. I think Berrios threw a total of 3 strikes that inning! Luckily, the Astros put them in play.
  9. I sure hope I regret benching Berrios in fantasy today.
  10. So far we've seen Buxton, Sano and Kepler go opposite field this inning.
  11. Last 4 years he's hit .270 or better. Plus he really broke out last year.
  12. I think if someone said in April that Buxton's batting average would be within 10 points of Machado's in July, we'd all be delighted!!
  13. Looking at Luke Bard's stats I noticed something weird. His strikeout rate jumped up but his groundball rate took a beating. He was constantly in the 50-60% groundball rate the past years when he was healthy but this year it sits below 30%. Probably small sample size but something worth monitoring.
  14. No one wants to go out on a limb and put him at a slim 250
  15. Fangraphs has him at 195 too. Must be right then...
  16. How about those Indians coming back down 6 runs?? Oh okay, now is not the time...
  17. Red Sox announcer said it best... Matt B is frightening in this tight game!
  18. I'll defend Polanco there, tough pitches to get a bunt down
  19. I think the most encouraging thing about Romero is the groundballs he gets. Around 55% on the season. The strikeouts might not be super high yet but those groundballs make up for it.
