  1. I'll predict we finish under
  2. In Ames we get Fox Sports Midwest, which means Cardinals and Royals games. I have gotten lucky twice so far this season with the Fox Sports Plus channel televising the Twins on Fox Sports North. I'm not sure why we don't get more games, especially since most of the Timberwolves games were on the Plus channel this season.
  3. I'm not sure I've seen 7 walks in one inning before
  4. I go to Iowa State but was not anywhere near the riots last night. Two cars, a few light posts and stop signs taken down...and it was only Tuesday. I have a feeling it will unfortunately only get worse by the weekend. As for the possibility of Arcia going to the DL, I really hope that he can avoid it, but if he does I would like to see a CF (most likely Mastro) come up
  5. Glad he finally got number 1000. Congrats Gardy!
  6. Mike Trout signs a 6 year deal with the Angels that is worth $144.5 million. The contract will start during the 2015 season. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/03/angels-to-extend-mike-trout.html
  7. I can't find a reason for Bartlett to be on the opening day roster. Send him to the minors and if he finally shakes the rust off then consider bringing him up if there is an injury. The roster should have players who have a future on this team, not players that played for us years ago and aren't as good as they used to be.

  9. I really don't mind the new replay rules. The MLB tested the replay system during a few AFL games this season. Below is a link to one of the calls that was overturned through the replay system. In the video at the 0:17 mark the announcers state that the manager is using his challenge. At the 1:10 mark the umpire signals that the runner was out. In less than a minute from when the manager talks with the umpire about the call, the call is overturned. While some replays will take longer than a minute to overturn, I still think it is worth implementing the system. http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/26271672/v31207969/srrscot-replay-test-overturns-ramseys-rbi-single/?query=replay
  10. I stumbled on this site near the beginning of the season and have come back daily to read the articles as well as hear everyone's opinion on the minor league players. I've been a Twins fan since day 1, but the game that changed everything and made me a huge Twins fan was game 4 of the 2002 ALDS against the Athletics. My dad and I happened to be downtown before the game and he decided to see if we could get in. We got cheap seats in the upper deck (behind the rolled up curtain). In the fourth inning the Twins broke the 2-2 tie with a 7 run inning. The Twins ended up winning the game 11-2 which tied the series at 2 game apiece. The crowd went absolutely crazy during that 7 run inning. As an 11 year old kid at this game, the Twins had me hooked. Anyways, on to my views on a few minor league players. I saw Buxton play in early June in Cedar Rapids. He looks absolutely incredible. No doubt one of the fastest players I have seen in person. I regret not going to see him more when he was still in CR. It will be interesting to see what he can do next season in the minors. Spring Training will be something to watch closely. If Sano puts up a monster Spring Training, will the Twins give him a shot from the beginning or will they take it slow and start him at AAA? (Let's please not start the Sano isn't Hicks argument again). Speaking of Hicks, I haven't given up on him; I think he can turn into a very good MLB player. I hope to see him up next year. Thanks to everyone who keeps this site going. I might not post too often, but I will be here daily to keep up with the latest Twins news.
