  1. Did i say sano wasnt capable of playing 3B? If they commit to dozier at 2B, rosario will have to find another position. 3B seems logical for rosario, especially considering 1B is sano's future destination anyway.
  2. Id rather move rosario to 3B than dozier to SS. The only reason sano hasnt already been moved to 1B is out of respect for morneau.
  3. How about rosario to 3B, sano to 1B?
  4. The exact opposite of Span. They'd have had to carry Span off on a stretcher. I had really started to sour on Span by the end of his Twins tenure. I still remember Revere's play at the plate against the Indians in 2011. He literally slammed the back of his head on the ground in the home plate collision. Got up and walked away. Didn't miss any time. He got hit in the face by a pitch in the minors. Didn't he fracture a cheek bone? Barely missed any time. Tough as nails. Either of those incidents would have shelved Span for months.
  5. Ryan deserves credit. Two great trades. Hicks is a future all star. I still think Manimal will be good for us too.
  6. I know its the red elephant in the room that noone wants to talk about, but what about Mauer? Will Ryan take offers on him? I think he wants to win, and the Twins are still a few years off. Does Mauer want to waste the rest of his prime here on a bad team or in Boston on a contender? Will he ASK for a trade? Has he had enough?
  7. Shhhhhhh........ Its OK to think that, but you cant say it out loud!
  8. He needs 81 games a year in Fenway!
  9. I think Mauer would wave his no-trade clause to Boston. What kind of offer would the Redsox have to make? It's an intriguing thought. They could patch up a few holes by trading Mauer, and add those players to the incoming group of Hicks, Buxton, Arcia, Sano, Rosario, Pinto, etc. Mauer's prime years are being wasted. Him and Fenway are the perfect match. Ryan should make the phone call, and do it if he can get a king's ransom.
  10. By some miracle Morneau has over 50 rbi's, because it seems like he never can get a clutch hit in a meaningful situation. That tells me he's getting alot of rbi's in meaningless late game situations when the game's out of hand against the other teams 12th best pitcher.
  11. I say let morneau walk and put plouffe at 1st base.
  12. Gardy isn't gonna give up Duensing without a fight. He loves his rubber armed, soft tossing lefty's.
  13. I think they'd be better off with billy still running the show.
  14. If they cant trade him just let him walk. I would not risk him accepting the qualifying offer. Im happy with plouffe or mauer moving to 1st base.
  15. Was gardenhire equally furious with Torii hunter a few years ago when he demolished the Whitesox catcher who was standing a full step in front of home plate without the ball? It befuddles me that he got so much praise for that. I thought it was one of the dirtiest plays I've ever seen. I think it ended his season, if not his career.
  16. Either carroll or escobar have to go. Keeping them both is senseless. And why Theilbar is even included in this conversation is a mystery to me.
