  1. I will reject the negativity in this comment section. There is all sorts of reason to be optimistic at least a little, not the least bit because the fun of being competitive ought to inspire some childlike wonder in our cold, cold hearts. If you don't accept the possibility of being hurt by your team (as all fans should, even though we should all be familiar with said pain already and respect it) then you will only feel relief when greatness or victory arrives, not happiness and joy. The starting rotation is pulling through even as it falls apart. Buck has been hitting homers left and right and Bell is seemingly through a slump. Let's have some fun. But I'm an eternal optimist.
  2. Whatever it is, there is some semblance coming on after the disasterous road trip, offense and defense finding more of a stride - the bullpen is a bunch of guys you might describe as "fine", but over a marathon season, that consistency of fine is more valuable than one star that can only pitch twice a week? If the late game collapses stick to one a week, I may not matter that much but I'll be happy.
  3. I dunno, maybe I'm just not totally in on everything and maybe I'm just an outsider, but as a Twins fan what I care about is keeping the Twins in Minnesota as the Twins and winning. I can't root for the Minnesota Twins to win if they're moved by some billionaire from Tennessee who really wants Nashville to have a pro team. Wild speculation on my part I suppose, but if the Pohlads still own it and Joe is true to his word what else should we do but wait? Joe Pohlad has been in place for less than a year, and I can absolutely believe he wants to fix a mess of debt and right the ship for our cities for years to come. Maybe I'm naively hoping, but I guess I'll hope nonetheless. Seems better than to despair and shoot the chances of keeping our team in Minny.
  4. I mean, at one point this family brought us championships, but now they seem to not care what happens outside their small community. They don't care about the state, the fanbase, or even the status of their name. Just an impression I guess. I can't even hate, I feel more pity since they don't seem to have the emotion to care about something we all else care about together.
