  1. This ump struggled during that Martinez atbat. Those pitches were close enough. Come on.
  2. They have the #1 or #2 OPS as a team vs. lefties this year, so, I'd imagine it's working OK for him.
  3. It would be helpful facing this slop throwing lefty, if they would you know... swing at strikes.
  4. Well, Richards isn't left handed so...
  5. I think it becomes more difficult. But I do think that the Twins roster is also the most complete roster of the 3 teams chasing the central. But, I just assume in the next week 16 guys will get hurt and it won't matter. Twins are cursed, mostly by their ownership.
  6. This guy doesn't even deserve a roster spot. And I'm pissed this is the best they could manage so far. However.. looking at the price that was paid for Tanner Scott by SD, I can sort of understand why they didn't pull the trigger on something like that. Prices right now at this deadline for pitching seem to be bordering on absurd.
  7. So, for all the people saying it was stupid, what say you? lol
  8. The number of hard-hit balls right at people by this team is frustrating at times.
  9. I've been to it, it's a nice park, good place to watch a game.
  10. Have not had an update, though I'm sure he's going through concussion protocol.
  11. It's funny. People keep harping about the spread sheets. Data doesn't lie. Even good major-league left-handed hitters tend to struggle against left-handed pitchers. Sure, there are some that can handle left-handed pitchers OK, but the chances are, a right-handed hitter is generally going to be better against that left-handed pitcher. Data is there to be used. Sometimes yes, you should believe what your eyes tell you for the particular instance or game, but to suggest you should just ignore the spreadsheets and manage entirely on gut is also asinine.
  12. I know no ones afraid of getting hit by Ober but...
  13. If not the best talent wise, certainly the most consistent as far as what you will get from him.
  14. Hopefully we can see Bailey's ERA dip below 4 for the first time this year. Go Twins.
  15. Seems like it's a rule, whenever the Guardians lose, Twins feel obligated to also lose and not make up any ground.
  16. Personally on the Stewart front, the eye test doesn't seem to be the same guy since returning from the shoulder. Prior to the shoulder injury he was 96-99 with incredible movement, usually sitting 97-98. Since his return I don't think I've seen him top 95, and with 95 location matters more.
