    Not so sure it's Rocco checking out as much as this is his personality. He was at the helm in an epic collapse in September '22 and he's back at this year. Doesn't have that rah-rah nature that's going to rally the troops. Sometimes you need a manager that is going to give a kick in the pants. Rocco isn't it.

    I'd love to pick the brain of the geniuses that decided the Twins were going to try to hit homeruns like the 1927 Yankees...without having a legitimate HR hitter on the roster.

    Oh, speaking of the Guards... I don't like disrespecting an opponent and they did it throughout that series. You don't have to show anyone up. First time the Twins play them in 2025, I'd like Gimenez to get a bit of chin music. Send some type of message.

    Guards are the prime example of how a manager can make a difference. Look at where they were last year and compare it to this season. And that's with ownership that is worse than the Joe P. when it comes to spending money...and that's with injuries to their rotation. Rocco needs to go. Up to Joe to make it happen.

    You have one of the better clutch post-season players in recent history on the team and even he's caught in the wash with this group. The Twins are their manager. There's no fight.

    Rocco's been the Twins' manager since 2019. 6 years is a long time in professional sports and managers / head coaches usually reach their shelf life after 5 years. The 2019 season was a fluke. The Bomba Squad. We won't see that kind of Twins' offense again anytime soon. 2020 was also a fluke because of the pandemic but the White Sox lost the division more than the Twins won it. Epic collapse from the pale hose. 2021 was a cluster. 2022 was another cluster that saw the team finish 10 games over the month of the season. Built-in excuse though - 'injuries'. 2023 saw the Twins make the playoffs thanks to being in a weak division. He's not the answer. Hasn't been the answer. He needs to go.

    At this point, he's just jumping the shark. He has zero charisma or personality. How often do they pan to the dugout and he either has his head down, or staring into space, or better yet, sitting behind 3-4 other people not even really watching the game... There's nothing he can say or do to jumpstart this thing. Players aren't stupid. They see it everyday.

    I remember he wrote some really mean stuff on the white board and the team responded - with a complete beatdown at the hands of the mighty Angels. They quit on Rocco a while back.
