  1. Count me in the group of fans that thinks the 2019 Bomba thing is continuing to drag this organization down into boring, unsustainable gameplay. The Cleveland series felt like we were getting a masterclass in how ownership, payroll, organizational philosophy, roster construction, lineup management, in-game decisions and approaches at the plate can all come together to make for highly entertaining and successful baseball. Sadly I don’t see these elements working here now or in the immediate future.
  2. I’m honestly wondering what it would take for me to be optimistic going into next March, enough to get me to buy tickets, pay crazy high food/drink prices at the stadium, buy a replica jersey for my grandkids, etc. I’m struggling.
  3. And I’ll be here until the bitter end, clinging to that last shred of optimism that they could pull a miracle and make it into the postseason. Plus I want to see what character these guys have, especially our “stars”.

I’m not inclined to spend much money on entertainment that bores me.
  9. Amazing the things that can happen when batters PUT THE BALL IN PLAY.
  10. My goodness we aren’t crisp in the field.
  11. Naylor did not make a Major League play there. But Lewis can’t take advantage.
  12. I’m wondering how in the this type of game, at this point in the season, we have someone like Irvin on the mound facing someone like Ramírez. But it worked out I guess. What do I know?
  13. I know it’s a meaningless statistic, but Jeffers has 5 RBI since August 19. Indicative of the team just shutting down in the last 6 weeks of the season I think.
  14. I’m scheduled for a root canal tomorrow. Fully expecting that to be a better experience than the last few hours.
  15. Most of the past month I’d say
