  1. No bearded wonder...The Dobber...Saint Paul just will not be the same 😭 Hey..Pohlads ..you made him a millionaire..thanks for the memories
  2. Simply an awesome podcast from Twins Skor North Show today. Phil, Judd, Declon THANK YOU!!
  3. Nobody seems to mention losing Dobnak. Did you forget about Randy?
  4. "The final budget for construction was $435 million, of which $175 million was paid by the Twins and $260 million was paid by Hennepin County by way of a 0.15% county-wide sales tax. An additional $120 million in infrastructure costs were split between the county ($90 million), the team ($20 million), Target Corporation ($4.5 million), the Minnesota Department of Transportation ($3.5 million) and the Minnesota Ballpark Authority ($2 million) bringing the project's total cost to US$555 million." This was a Twins Daily post from last fall. I will remind the fans that THEY paid for the majority of this ballpark.
  5. I never found him to be a star nor was he a leader in the clubhouse, I also felt that he put on a false facade many times, Nevertheless, it is not his problem if he is overpaid. The ultimate problem is the owners. If your read the sportswriters' columns today, they confirm that they wanted to cut payroll and ordered Falvey to do it. The problems are also connected to the GM, and the manager. The lack of leadership by Falvey and Rocco led to the team's demise. Rocco's glaring removals of Castro and Jax at the end of the game on Wednesday was ridiculous. Inserting Jax on that night and Duran on a prior evening in games that had already been decided was simply ridiculous. Never forget that Target Field was largely paid for by the taxpayers. To me, there was a trust that the owners would due diligence to market and support a strong team.
  6. Good posting..without Bader, there is no backup for Buxton and his injuries.
  7. This is a good posting. I will also continue to be a fan and am in my 60th year...BUT...I have no intention to return to watch a game in person or purchase Twins merchandise UNTIL there is a sale of the team as well as a shake-up with the manager and FO. It was more than being "mean spirited" as you put it to dump 5 relievers as well as $ being a core rationale. Yes, it is a business, Although, it is my belief that customer service by an owner means that you care about the fans which was not the case with the TV package in 2024, Joe Pohlad's comments at the end of last year and much more. Perhaps I am just old school. I hope that I see Falvey or one of the Pohlads on the street or at the mall. This old codger will give them an earful.
  8. Agree with you...I don't know of a "complete teardown" per your response to that other person that stated Twins fans wanted it. It was understood that individuals with contracts expiring would probably be departing. Emptying the bullpen of the top 5 relievers was way beyond belief, especially the way the manager constantly uses them. It specially made no sense as most of them were under control and what was returned in exchange is questionable. I fully can't comprehend the Varland issue.
  9. The tear down was the bullpen.. Big time. Consider how the manager uses this group ...
  10. The Twins responsible for about a third of Correa's salary...they cut loose approximately 70 Million
  11. Sorry 10...almost 40% of the team changed over 48 hours..Wow!..looking at the relievers..the cupboard is fairly bare..
  12. I think that Rocco...Falvey...Jim and Joe Pohlad should be required to read these Twins Daily postings...I also encourage any fans who have purchased tickets for the remaining games to boo them if they become visible at Target Field...some of these.moves okay...but to dump 5 relievers including the top 3 prove that they don't care about the fans
  13. Welll.recall Bill Veeck bringing in the little guy as a stunt...maybe try a disco night at Target field...bring the pig over from the St. PAUL Saints...have a real bear on the field as TC bear...the more stunts the better..
  14. I will be interested to see if Provus says anything...probably not...also what Plouffe says on skor north on Tuesday..agree..EMBARASSMENT...season tickets holders should sue the Pohlads..for fraud..
  15. YES...las Vegas deal has crashed at the moment..A's will be stuck in a minor league stadium for several years.
  16. Falvey is just the lapdog of Pohlads...Rocco is just a laptop of Falvey...
  17. 9 empty lockers to be filled including 5 relievers..(the rest pretty much spent time in AAA before being called back up)....Ridiculous...
  18. The Twinkies return to Target field next Friday...I am hoping there is booing to the little Rocco man If fans even show up...I feel bad for the remining team players...the bullpen has lost 5 pitchers(has to be a MLB record for deadline moves)....I would be upset if I was ryan...lopez....even SWR and Ober...with rocco's knack of rotating relievers every inning...I guess bring up Bride and put K. Clemens in the bullpen...in all my 60 years of being a dedicated fan. .I have never been so frustrated...it may be worse than when old man Carl tried to relocate the team...
  19. Clown car actually...Falvey driving and Rocco riding shotgun...Joe Pohlad is paying for the gas..
  20. Ridiculous....I can understand some of it...but to trade the 3 top relievers...there are now 9 empty lockers...in that clubhouse...talk about bad morale.. what pisses me off is Baldelli....he purposely put Duran out there a couple of nights ago and Jax out there last night in the 9th inning in lopsided games for the other team scouts in the stands..to watch them..now we know why ....what a SLIMEBALL...I am thinking about going to the next game. .buying a seat next to the Twins dugout for the sole purpose of booing him beyond belief as well as call him a slimeball every time he steps on the field...
  21. Well,,,,time will tell...let's see how he performs in Houston. If he fails to show productivity, it will prove that it was worth it. It is obvious that Correa wanted to move back to his home area of Houston. He could have blocked the trade if he wanted to stay in Minnesota. I don't disagree with your thought on them wanting to save money and reinvesting. It is despicable. My feelings center on the idea that he is aging and the production isn't there. Realistically. next season... hopefully, if they sell the team... will probably mean a new manager as well as new FO. That will be a building year. 2027 will probably be a strike season...so...I don't see the disadvantage of the trade....regardless of them saving money. Correa is simply not a difference maker due to his susceptibility to injury, age, and simply would not be a difference maker to making the playoffs.
  22. There were times where I very much questioned Correa's attitude/team devotion as well as his sustainability. During the last couple of years, it seemed like he was being pulled for some little thing and had to be "rested" by Rocco, which is something is that was a bit overboard. At this point, good riddance. He turns 31 in September, and his age is showing.
