  1. Wish he could generate more line-drives, but also he hit that grounder at 100.2 mph. He's not at his best, but he is making solid contact, and that will count for something sooner rather than later
  2. I hope the Twins turn this around, but also, hats off to the Astros for doing all the little things right. Very sharp baseball
  3. I'm so glad Cotton is back - I think he can truly be a solid middle reliever for us...if the control is there, his changeup is so fun to watch
  4. Our lineup is especially missing Arraez tonight...even if he doesn't get a hit, he's never an easy out, and he always seems to mess with the pitcher's rhythm. I'm really hoping he's back tomorrow!
  5. I can't wait to see Gary's OPS catch up with his underlying statistics...even just by the eye-test, it's clear that he's making tons of solid contact
  6. Lol how did Alvarez splinter his bat and still hit the ball that far?? He's so fun to watch
  7. agreed..I'm looking forward to seeing the umpire grade for this game ?
  8. Polanco hitting balls outside the zone is a thing of beauty
  9. Wow impressive speed from Kep.. that was a hard-hit ball, looked like a surefire DP
  10. Nice AK!! Love to see him swing at the first pitch after being so hesitant yesterday
  11. Hoping Paddack's injury is minor, but just as a thought experiment, who would be our next in-line SP call-ups if we need an extra arm or two? i bet Balazovic won't be ready until late June at the earliest..
  12. Paddack is placing his pitches so well - painting those corners like he's Bob Ross!
  13. After literally so many hard hit foul balls, Gary was due for that one!
  14. Is Paddack considered a strikeout pitcher? The three singles were not ideal, but I've been impressed by the whiffs he's getting
  15. He pulled up while running to 1st on a grounder..he was able to jog to the base, but they opted to replace him with Celestino in CF. I honesty suspect that it's mostly a precautionary move, but keeping my fingers crossed that it's not anything more serious
  16. I feel horrible for Buxton, and I can't fathom the frustration he must feel. He works so hard and plays with such fire. It breaks my heart a little every time i see a fan blame him - implicitly or explicitly - for his injuries! He'll be a historic great for the franchise, and I couldn't be more grateful that he's the face of the Twins!
  17. Jeffers seems to be the victim of so many miscalled strikes this game
  18. Our team XWOBA and XWOBACON are both ranked 4th in the league. I totally get the frustration, but guys have been taking good AB's and hitting the ball hard, and that will start to be reflected on the scoreboard sooner rather than later
  19. LOL you could see Baseball Savant open on Morneau's laptop, I love it
  20. Jax is ?! And the fact that he can go multiple innings makes him especially impressive
  21. I totally hear you..I'm also concerned and feel super bad for him! Just think that the possibility for some redemption today will really light a fire for him
  22. I have a feeling that Kirilloff gets at least one XBH today...crossing my fingers!
