  1. The first out will the last in. He'll only get to make at most two starts before Diamond projects to be back. That is probably DeVries.
  2. Wouldn't surprise me to see Carroll traded as part of a deal absorbing salary to take on a starter. Someone like Capuano, Lilly or someone from another team that is on the last year of a pricey deal.
  3. I don't think that is a correct pitch count, considering he faced 10 Batters and struck 2 out.
  4. Seth meant live games can't be streamed on the Internet by the radio stations.
  5. Want to talk about a Spring Training Hero? Edwin Encarnacion. For the longest time it looked like his spring numbers were not telling the truth, but then the hitting coach said, pretend every day is spring training.
  6. It's not like he hasn't said it before. If it's really controversial for a Canadian to suggest that it might be fun to play for his country's only MLB team, then the bar for controversy might be resting on the floor.
  7. Not bold, there are more accurate mean words. I mean really, the payers hate him SO MUCH that they are just a few games from their goal and they all say 'nah, Gardy's a chump, let's tank this.' No one actually thinks anything of the sort happened. It's just fun sometimes to say outrageous things to get attention.
  8. Just because you can't discern it doesn't mean it isn't there.
  9. Of course Joe's SLG has been higher than league avg for 3rd place hitters in nearly all of his seasons. 2011 Being a glaring exception.
  10. What's that? They should have re signed Delmon Young to pinch hit for Morneau?
  11. Obviously you don't 'get it'. That's not what I was saying at all. I was saying we regulars don't know what 'controlling the infield' means, but that won't stop some people from saying that its an indication Gardy is full of it.
  12. It's kind of like when people want to have scientific things explained to then in 'plain english'. What that usually means is they don't understand the english words that are being used in the original description they're confused by. The concept is baffling to lay people, because they lack the experience required to have a shared frame of reference. Of course, people who generally disagree with the person doing the confusing often will then use their confusion as evidence that the confusor doesn't know what they're doing.
  13. Pshh. That makes too much sense.
  14. Don't mistake my comments for hoping Ben does poorly. I do not. I hope he does really well there.
  15. The theory backed up by the evidence could be that Maddon gets his teams to overproduce with his wizardry. His winning formula does backfire once in a while (as is prone to happen in all things) and cost them one or two winnable games?
  16. If things don't go well for our 2B options and Mastro shows something while warming the spot for Hicks, why not give him a shot there?
  17. It's not so much the content of your message as the delivery. You're more than welcome to advocate the dismissal of the Twins staff. If you do t in a way that suggests you are unfamiliar with english, then people might be inclined to write you off.
  18. You must be new to the 2013 season.
  19. When there is no evidence to support it, it's irresponsible to report likelihood of success. This doesn't mean the Twins can't or won't win the division. It does mean they will need to collectively play at a higher level than their recent track records. Except for the guys who have payed well, of course.
  20. I might buy that, if not for the fact that he signed Pelfrey and Correia. I'm guessing that he felt Meyer was such an overpay for Span that he got out of there quick.
  21. A nice one that they'd rather not have people stalking them in.
  22. I wouldn't be surprised to see Ben returning to AAA before the year is over. One slump and the Philly Phans will sour on his big smile. That's a recipe for a BA around .200.
