  1. The Falvey regime is a complete failure. They should have cleaned house and given them all the boot. A horrible brand of baseball for the past two years. Baldelli was sleep walking spewing platitudes of nonsense. Derek Shelton? Blake Shelton would sell more tickets and generate at least curiosity. Clean out all seven and Larny. Bring up Jenkins, Rodriguez, Gonzalez, Culpepper and a couple others. Let them at least try, may be painful, but it would provide direction for everything. The robotic hitting system has failed, taken the heart and love of hitting off the table, find a better approach and try to develop hitters who want to be at the plate with the game on the line. Then talk to several successful high school coaches in our area whose teams play better situational and smarter baseball than we've seen in years. Been a Twins fan since 1961 so I won't quit, but Falvey and crew seem to have.
  2. Rocco's complete dependence on stats in every situation often failed. Scouting, drafting, stats are crucial. In game situations are dominated by variables that constantly change, impacted by each players skill set, field conditions, weather, lighting, and more. He refused to consider this most times. His players often appeared unaware of game situations that many good local high school teams deal with easily. The suicide squeeze bunt is a tremendous weapon he gave up due to stats instead of developing it for crucial situations as an ace in the hole. Hitters have to love to hit, relish each at bat and want to be in the batters box with the game on the line, ala Gibson or Puckett. Who was that person this year? Maybe Keaschal. Saw Zoilo and Jim Kaat in 61, been a fan since.
  3. Really? I've seen a lot more class at high school level by far.
  4. Wonderful to see Caleb is still pitching. A nice person. His Dad is a class act also. Watched him in pitching duels against Prescott teams.
