Crotalo's Achievements

  1. 1. The White Sox will win the AL Central with a record of 86-76. 2. The Minnesota Twins will finish in 4th place in the division with a record of 76-86. * 3. Current Twins who will be wearing new uniforms after the trade deadline include: Matt Capps & Francisco Liriano 4. The New York Yankees will defeat the San Francisco Giants to win the 2012 World Series.
  2. They sold fewer tickets and didn't make the playoffs. Call it an educated guess.
  3. No. They can re-sign him to a one year deal for less. Although if he's smart, he'll go to the NL like every other looking for a big deal after a nice single season.
  4. YES!!! Plouffe got at RBI without hitting a homer!
  5. Look at his front foot and hips when he swinging. There's good reason for that.
  6. He looks like a different player with RISP. 31 RBI with 18 HR is amazing.
  7. His mechanics are terrible and he looks like he's afraid to stay in...especially against LH pitching. Either he gets over it, or he doesn't. Right now, he's no where close and is swinging at pretty much everything.
  8. He's been very good this year and deserved the AS nod over Willy, but he hasn't been anywhere close to being worth every penny of $23M. Even if he was a full time catcher, his numbers are probably worth in the $18M range...and he's not a full time catcher.
  9. Most likely sellers. But you can wait 10-14 more games and see. If they go 11-3 and are 3 games back, then I'd keep who they have. They can unload Capps regardless. I don't think the pen is worse without him by much.
  10. He has a team friendly deal. Unless the Twins are convinced that they won't be any good until 2015, they should keep him unless they get a ton for him. The OF guys in the minors don't appear to be ready.
  11. The Twins are generally a team that spends payroll as a percentage of revenue. Revenue was down last year...payroll goes down. Even if they're only willing to spend $7-9M of the $14M that Justin is making, it's likely to be a much better investment than Justin is...because since he got hurt in 2010, he's pretty much been a detriment save for 2 weeks this year.
  12. Good for him. $5000 for a start is cheap for the team and is a hell of a lot better than he's getting in AAA.
  13. I would give Morneau away if the team was willing to take his salary. Remember, that the $14M that he's making can be used on someone who can actually still excel in the bigs.
  14. Plouffe is at league minimum and performing well in the bigs. Why would the Twins want to trade him for a more unknown quantity? That's why deadline players dealt are generally highly paid and FA to be.
