1. street is scaring me now. doesn't look dominant at all (although nathan hasn't either despite some solid results). my team is cruising but youkilis is a big concern. also kinda regretting the upton trade a bit but i really needed some young SP and Latos is quietly having a solid season. buchholz has been an amazing surprise.
2. thanks. i got my closer back today. traded Shane Watson and 1st round MiLB pick to Fujimo for Street and his 2nd round MiLB pick. so in the end I gave up: Nathan, Matt Dominguez, Shane Watson and 1st round MiLB pick for Chacin, Street and 2nd round MiLB pick. really happy with this.
3. your boy chris davis become the first MLB player to get to 1 WAR. really having a nice year, i've always liked CD for some reason... any thoughts on my Chacin for Nathan, Dominguez trade? i feel like i got the steal of the century here. (not super high on chacin but man, nathan is 40!)
4. im pretty low on lincecum so i don't think it's terrible in a vacuum. i think crawford is more likely to regain value than lincecum, actually. whether or not he couldve gotten a better package is another story.
5. you ended up getting Jake Arrieta (not sure if anyone ever answered you in the emails) and he actually mightve been the highest rated SP/2B/SS by CBS. he was on my radar.
6. yeah, it's unfortunate to see dave leave and perhaps even more unfortunate to have to read through all of the political/religious debate. i never got into the whole facebook/myspace thing but you guys have my e-mail should you stop visiting these forums. this thread is my only use of this forum. one time i ventured out into the twins chat area and couldn't handle the stupidity, so i'm not shocked to hear kab's concerns.
7. went with shane watson. not crazy about him or the other options at this stage.
8. i may take travieso with my next pick but everything i'm reading says he may end up in the pen. do not like.
9. I really like Puig and thought about taking him there too. It was really between Wacha, Puig and Seager for me and I think they all went consecutively..
10. so was I haha really happy to land Clint Coulter there though. not sure where i'm gonna end up with my 34th pick but i'm very happy with the first 2 rounds either way.
11. Do you guys like wachha
12. i think pineda is done. i like this deal for dave.
13. i think all of those deals were good in a vacuum and excellent for someone in win-now mode. you didn't overpay or anything imo. hopefully one of us can win this year; has anyone been more unlucky in this league than the 2 of us? also, how do you view sale's value relative to CC? i would deal CC for sale + [one of maybe 6-7 guys on your roster]
14. inn
15. is it obvious that i shouldve taken today off from work?
16. 17. man, i really took bee shem to the shed with this deal (which was done on my birthday, ironically)

01/14/10 02:06 pm ET The Shining Carmona, Fausto SP CLE - Traded from Team Name Cuddyer, Michael RF MIN - Traded from Team Name Hagadone, Nick SP CLE - Traded from Team Name Venable, Will RF SD - Traded from Team Name 4/4/10

01/14/10 02:06 pm ET http://sports.cbsimg.net/images/splash/baseball/lg-mgmtgold.gifTeam Name Gardner, Brett CF NYY - Traded from The Shining Konerko, Paul 1B CHW - Traded from The Shining Murphy, Daniel 1B NYM - Traded from The Shining Rodriguez, Wandy SP HOU - Traded from The Shining 4/4

18. Here's a blockbuster if i ever saw one. the funny part is that this deal was actually heavily negotiated.

06/30/09 04:26 pm ET Sid Bream's Slide Schlereth, Daniel RP ARI - Traded from Team Name Slama, Anthony RP MIN - Traded from Team Name 6/30/09

06/30/09 04:26 pm ET http://sports.cbsimg.net/images/splash/baseball/lg-mgmtgold.gifTeam Name Hagadone, Nick SP BOS - Traded from Sid Bream's Slide Walters, P.J. 19. lol going through old transactions and found this gem. can anyone top this?

Manship, Jeff SP MIN - Claimed off waivers Rosario, Wilin C COL - Dropped 8/31/09

20. you can view old trades on the CBS site. just go to transactions > trades and then sort by year (i think) off the top of my head i've traded (or dropped!) the following: logan morrison drew stubbs wilin rosario (dropped lol) jake marisnick (dropped lol) gio gonzalez (not sure if he was still in minors in year 1) travis d'arnaud jordan lyles Austin Hedges tyler anderson tony cingrani gary sanchez christian bethancourt matt davidson holy ****-- im so desperate for a young catcher and i just realized now that ive trades away Rosario, D'Arnaud, Sanchez, Bethancourt and Hedges lolol
21. nice trade kab! you gave up a ton but hard to argue against getting Sale and Weeks (or any competent 2B for that matter).
22. man, i didn't realize how many players i've traded to Dave lol. Galvez, Jonathan McAllister, Zach Beckett, Josh Cecil, Brett Surkamp, Eric Rodney, Fernando De Los Santos, Miguel WRIGHT, AUSTIN
23. pseudo - how open are u to moving lincecum?
24. So Dave and I made the following trade: Fernando Rodney Josh Beckett Team Name's 2nd Round, #42 MiLB pick for Brett Gardner Brian Dozier BMH's 1st Round, #12 MiLB pick *** I'm happy although a bit unsure whether my decision to give Dave Rodney instead of Nathan will bite me in the ass. Rodney is 3 years younger and coming off a historic season but I think Nathan is the more valuable player for the next 2 seasons. I get Gardner back after trading him to Dave for Austin Jackson (and Slolowey) awhile back. Think he's a nice buy-low and speed always has some value in this league. Also gives me a new OF after trading Upton, although McCutcheon, Rios, Ichiro and Chris Young is pretty solid. Love having a high MiLB pick. Like the guys in the 10-15 range. Knowing me, I'll probably flip the draftee for a veteran SP later in the year, but this league puts more value on prospects than picks so whatever. Dave gets 2 guys who don't help him long term but easily flippable if they produce in Beckett and Rodney for moving down 30 spots.
25. i think it's pretty even. i just wanted a SP instead of an OF. don't think i couldve gotten one better than Latos (i tried). Any of you guys want Beckett, Blanton, Oswalt, Soto, Marmol or Wilson? Will need to move one or two to make room.
