I really think that our top 10 or 20 prospects will look a lot different come August 1.

Any chance we can grab Ty Buttrey, Hunter Virant, Walker Buehler, or any of those HS arms and sign them?

Or you are just supposed to go with the BPA not draft for need. I don't think the pick of Buxton reflects on the big league club at all.

I never said to stop the negativity, I was just surprised by how much there was. I like the Buxton pick for sure, I even like the Berrios pick. I am with most people though and question the Bard pick but they obviously saw something in him that they liked.

Is Byron Buxton faster than Ben Revere? Buxton is said to have 80 speed.

Maybe we could have Buxton pitch. He had something like 18 strikeouts in his last game.

Right now my order of who I want the Twins to draft is 1. Correa 2. Giolito (won't happen) 3. Gausman 4. Buxton

According to Keith Law's latest mock he has the Twins drafting Buxton but says "There's a late rumor that has them taking right-hander Kevin Gausman and possibly saving a little money to go after some prep righties with their extra picks."

Kevin Goldstein was asked where he would rank a healthy Lucas Giolito in last years draft and he said "Top 5, and that's probably light". I am really starting to wish that the Twins would take a chance on him but I am fine with whatever they do.

I was a big Buxton believer but lately have became very nervous about drafting him. I just feel a lot safer drafting Correa even though he is also a big unknown but the fact that he is almost a year younger than Buxton is impressive.

Jim Bowden just tweeted "According to source the Houston Astros are expected to select Stanford RHP Mark Appel with the first over all selection in tomorrows draft." so I would expect the choice to be between Buxton and Correa and possibly Gausman. I expect the Twins to take Buxton though.

I think I might be just as interested if not more interested in who the Twins take at #32 and #42. I know pretty much everyone believes #32 will be Mitch Brown but I am still excited to see what happens.
