    Yeah seems to reward pitching depth more this way than just top end pitchers. One or two aces might not get it done if the rest of the rotation is bad.

    I'm going to say it for the first time in this whole game thread (and I refuse to read the first few pages). The CGI "fans" are dumb.

    Probably because they had already warmed him up, and why waste that plus another pitcher. And also because he's not the only person with saves on this team (as if saves matter), so it's hard to call him a pure closer anyway. And also also, he hasn't been as effective on back to back days this year, so why not put him in with more of a cushion than normal?

    The lack of crowds meant that I heard all of that. He was, in fact, very polite. He was also quite correct.
