  1. I take it back, largebrea....errr, john is winning.
  2. Correction: "Admin question." Buck, passed.
  3. I would have moderated him to no end, but I was too busy staring at his avatar.
  4. Will it be non-refundable, and to the chin?
  5. A Jamey Carroll XBH. It's definitely our day.
  6. Diamond really bore-down and gutted that inning out, what a gamer, that's what stoppers do. cliche count: 4
  7. DickRon thought that too, then the replay showed it hit him.
  8. Bad start turned into a good start. A boatload of pitches thrown as well.
  9. It might be a quiet one today.
  10. Congrats, you win free tickets to the next Mike Pelfrey / Vance Worley doubleheader.
  11. Didn't see that coming. [/best deadpan]
  12. 2 on, no out, meat of the order up. What could possibly go wrong?
  13. Buxton hit another homer tonight.
  14. I never understood the caveman's compulsion with learning. What was wrong with their dank, wet caves? Wheels? Fire? Who needs 'em! The "compulsion" is that people like expanding their views on things, like learning new things, enjoy trying to improve things. No one is forcing you to use them, so why piss on those that do?
  15. And a groundball staff vs flyball? Different/odd outfield dimensions? (Fenway, TF, etc) Accounting for errors and arm? Why go through the trouble to make a lousy measure even moderately useful, when you can just use something superior right from the start?
  16. Looked like he was "finally getting it together?" He was falling apart at the end of the game. Making managerial decisions based on a cliche probably isn't very sound strategy.
  17. Chief brought his funny bone with him tonight.
  18. Looks like I missed a great start. And now I get to listen to Dann-O.
  19. I'm glad I didn't comment in this thread. I'd probably have to give myself a quadruple facepalm now.
  20. Huh? Pelfrey was credited with -.323 WPA The hitters were credited with -.318 WPA That's effectively identical responsibility for the loss.
