  1. Honestly I have no clue how these things work. I just know how to use the remote.
  2. I think because it is on Fox Sports 1. Have you flipped around to look for it?
  3. I couldn't find anything yet. The following is from yesterday: The Minnesota Twins selected John Curtiss, the red-shirt sophomore right-handed pitcher, in the 6th round as the 170th overall pick. Although he only spent two seasons in a Texas uniform, Curtiss has earned his spot in the MLB. Curtiss had Tommy John surgery after his freshman season, keeping him out all of last season. Curtiss returned this season with a 2.23 ERA as the Horns’ closer. Curtiss was initially drafted out of high school by the Rockies, but deferred to become a Texas Longhorn. He graduated early from UT, so odds are he will sign on with the Twins this summer. http://www.readthehorn.com/sports/baseball/96217/longhorns_headed_to_the_mlb A little confused on his academic background. Red-shirt sophmore; spent only 2 years at UT; but he graduated. So did he get his degree in 3 years? I get that he had TJ after his freshman year (somewhere other than Texas?) then didn't pitch in 2013 but did pitch in 2014, graduated and was drafted. I guess the red-shirt sophomore only applies to his status in college ball.
  4. Mike Berardino ‏@MikeBerardino 17m Gardy on Florimon (.093): "I feel bad for the kid. He's really scuffling. He needs a bloop."
  5. Mike Berardino ‏@MikeBerardino 14m Gardy would like to give Polanco a start at short but he wasn't clear on positioning in the 8th Friday night with 1st and 3rd and Beltre up.
  6. No Polanco again. I heard Ron Gardenhire on the radio pregame say he didn't intend to start Polanco this weekend, that it wouldn't be fair to the kid per Edward Thoma http://fpbaseballoutsider.blogspot.com/2014/06/if-polanco-is-here-he-should-play.html Wouldn't be fair? How about letting him see what its really about???
  7. Not badly but not well, either.
  8. Makes me think he should be on Abbey Road.
  9. I've never taken a sleeping pill but somehow I think this game has a similar effect.
  10. Thanks for the Correia addition, Thrylos.
  11. I really wish KC would just give us a nice, boring first inning sometime.
  12. They all make me smile but in terms of just looking great, I have to go with Santana and Escobar. And I really laugh about Mauer cuz it just looks so him.
  13. But this is very cool especially for someone who has played so long in the minors: Mike Berardino ‏@MikeBerardino 7m Best part for @PinoYohan is his wife Yarelis and two young daughters get to make the trip from Venezuela for Monday's start. Missed debut.
  14. Apparently Pino never really left the team: Mike Berardino ‏@MikeBerardino 9m Yohan Pino had a 1 p.m. flight booked from DFW to Rochester. Was told he was staying at 8 this morning. #mntwins
  15. For ChiTown and all of the other women who post here! The following photos were all posted by Dustin Morse of the Twins PR department on Twitter. Several weeks ago there was a story that several of the veterans planned a special fashion travel day. I know Jason Kubel was one of the organizers (sorry we didn't get to see that purple suit, Jason; wish you would have hit more) -- along with Mauer, Perkins (I think) and a few of the "new" veterans. Well yesterday, it finally happened. Enjoy their sartorial splendor. And if I'm violating your copyrights, Mr. Morse, i apologize but we really wanted to see these so please let 'em stay! I'm bad at this photo thing so I don't know how these will lay out exactly but in case you don't recognize anyone, it is: Swarzak in hot pink; Suzuki in light blue outside the bus; Santana in royal blue; Parmelee attending the Mad Hatter's tea party; Nolasco in purple and black; Morales in white w/hot pink vest; Phil Hughes -- another tea party participant; Guerrier and Perkins in citrus fruit colors; Kyle Gibson in gangster blue; Sam Fuld in splendiforous purple; Eric Fryer as a neon banana; P Flo in what I would call mauve; Fien is fine in lime; Escobar in dazzling white; Duensing in the pink; Dozier in Mossy Oak Camo and Mauer in boring blue ; Dozier in Camo -- gotta love that wall; Deduno in tropical orange; Burton in blazing blue; And Arcia in pinstripes!
  16. Rhett Bollinger ‏@RhettBollinger 13m The #MNTwins placed Danny Santana on the 15-day disabled list and recalled Yohan Pino. So Pino was only optioned to Triple-A for one day. Wasn't worth the traveling time for Yohan.
  17. Rhett Bollinger ‏@RhettBollinger 1m Gardenhire said there's still a chance Santana goes on the DL if his knee doesn't feel better soon. Santana was hopeful he won't go on DL.
  18. It is the information the Twins are releasing: Rookie shortstop Danny Santana has been diagnosed with a bone bruise in his left knee and is day to day. Santana, who suffered the injury Wednesday night while running out a double, underwent a magnetic resonance imaging exam (MRI) that showed no abnormalities in his ligaments or meniscus. http://blogs.twincities.com/twins/2014/06/26/twinsights-mri-shows-bone-bruise-for-danny-santana/ They may be wrong but that is obviously the word they are putting out. Its what Dick/Bert said; what was said on the radio; what was tweeted by numerous sources. (And I have to think this happened at some other time not on the play in question. I also don't know if I trust what the Twins are saying but it is clearly what they ARE saying.)
  19. Not with a bang but with a whimper.
  20. Kendys with the chance to be a hero.
  21. I'll take that double.
  22. Dozier could add to a nice ASG case here.
  23. Or was the "left knee" thing just Dick talking through his hat?
