  1. Kepler up w/Bases loaded, 2 outs
  2. MLB.com At Bat | MLB.com: Gameday Now working. Also Scoreboard | MiLB.com Scoreboard | The Official Site of Minor League Baseball
  3. 28 pitches, 16 strikes for Meyer in the first. Buxton lines 1-1 pitch to RF for an out to lead off bottom/first.
  4. IF the GM is going to draft and develop to build through his Innovative formula, then he'd better have a ton of hits, vs all the blanks the Twins shot during past drafts. Else he's not going to have the personnel for this formula for the majority of positions. Like they don't now.
  5. Someone in Twins Daily alert the rest of the media that the current GM is also the GM that oversaw a number of consecutive drafts of washouts and never-were's. After the Perkins draft, there are a number of drafts where the depth washed out. And those are some of the drafts that would have given the Twins depth in the past 3 years vs the merit-badge players they keep signing and adding to the 40-man roster. Look it up. Tons of guys that never made it. College slop-ballers that couldn't even get to AAA. And Terry Ryan was the GM during those drafts before handing things over to Billy Smith. So while Bill Smith gets the blame on bad decisions recently,long-term problems started with all the bad drafts while Ryan was the GM.
  6. Martis and Fryer have probably cemented 40-man roster spots, and big league jobs for 2014 with this. Veteran bench depth and a hard-throwing bullpen guy. 2 fixes like this have the Twins well on their way to a 70-win season next year!
  7. At what point will any "major" media call the Pohlads out for this financial commitment regression?
  8. Rosario finishes the season with a 1-4 day. Hit .340 his last 10 games NB: .284/19 doubles/3triples/4HR/38 RBI's, 21BB/67K, OBP/SLG/OPS of .330/.412/.742 Season totals: 122 games/496 at bats .302, 150 hits/80 runs, 32 doubles/8 triples/10 HRs/73 RBI, 38BB/96K, 10-20 SB OBP/SLG/OPS of .350/.460/.810
  9. Rosario Eastern League player/week. .433 batting average last week.
  10. Arizona Fall League announces 2013 staff, coaching assignments | MLB.com: News Glendale Team Jeff Smith, AA manager, is the team's manager WhiteSox/Reds/Dodgers/Marlins players
  11. All the Twins prospects are on the same team.
  12. Kepler's elbow is the only issue/concern in this. How is it? Will be an AZ Fall League worth following. Achter is the only surprise. Good for him. Also surprised on Rosario being named.
  13. JMO, payroll flexibility is whatever they believe it needs to be. A payroll that was over 100 million at one point will have all kinds of flexibility next year. Had it already this year. And decide not to spend, even though the Pohlads say management can increase the payroll. Allegedly.
  14. Speaking of Joe Benson, looks like another year with not much to show. Joe Benson Stats, Bio, Photos, Highlights | MiLB.com Stats | The Official Site of Minor League Baseball
  15. I didn't get that either. Pay the salary anyway. Get something back.
  16. Those would be players to start with. Perhaps Levi Michael, Summers as well. Agreed, taking on salary has a pretty big value these days in trades.
  17. The verdict is getting closer on both. Bench guys, occasional starters, to me.
  18. Congrats to Colabello. Now, send him back and help the Wings to get into and win the IL Playoffs! Might as well enjoy a postseason, since they're muddling along at the MLB level.
  19. 11/13 mill is cheap in the pitching market for a guy better than any of the flotsam on this team now. So they can add payroll? PROVE IT. Make a move for the better, instead of dumpster diving, then trying to convince fans that the garbage picked up is actually going to make the team better. Currently 5 games better than last year. Big whoop. Finish that way. You still lose 91 games.
  20. Gallardo has a year, and club option left. 11mill, 13 mill Very reasonable for a pitcher that is better than anything the Twins have. Has a very good track record. They should be proactive and try to improve the team, rather than look at a not-that-great FA class, which basically means dumpster diving by TRyan anyway.
  21. Yovanni Gallardo on revocable waivers. Claim, make a deal, take on the salary, and start getting ready for 2014's pitching staff.
  22. 2-5,with a double/R/RBi to cap off a sizzling weekend at the plate for Rosario.
  23. After a 5-5 outing friday, 2 more hits for Rosario Saturday, bumping the avg up over .290
  24. Huge Friday night for Rosario, through 7 innings, 4-4/2 doubles(17 in AA, 30 on the year) and a solo HR.
  25. The last 10 games have not been good to Rosario .158, 6-38 with a couple of doubles. Been dropped down in the order. .274 AA season now, OBP is .333 Only encouraging sign is 6 walks in the past 10 games.
