    24 starts. 8 of them 6 innings. None more. 2/3 of your starts by the Alleged "ace"(as dubbed in pre season) gas the bullpen. Terrible. Just Terrible.

    Have to. That's what the cookbook says to do. As noted Pressly can't be burned out by the cook any more, now it's Hildenberger and Rogers.

    Sure am glad Hildenberger was used to give up runs 3rd straight game. Great job Odorizzi, forced the cook to overuse the cookbook.

    It's Wednesday. Garver had to pitch Monday night. WHY? Drake has pitched 1 time since being picked up. Taylor Rogers is back in the Molly cookbook to be overused. 4 times in 5 days at the end of July Tonight marks 4th time in 6 days in August.

    Fact: Odorizzi threw 101 pitches in 4.2 innings tonight. Zero Strikeouts Fact: Odorizzi has completed more than five innings in only 1/3 of his starts. Peripherals? Who cares? The guy is a bullpen killer every time out.

    I can also see us keeping Grossman as he does have a league average bat and high OBP. Or high enough for a bench bat. Only as a bench bat/DH. His OF is so brutal. I just don't know if the Twins will have room for that. They always carry too many pitchers.

    What about Odorizzi's spot on the roster? I know he's under control, but has been underwhelming almost all season. Can barely get 5 innings done. Part of me believes there is a disconnect. Lynn has pitched well for NYY. I wouldn't be surprised if Odorizzi did elsewhere too.

    Still hard to believe Thorpe is only 22. Like he skipped aging a couple years rehabbing the arm. Gonsalves turned 24 last month. 2 really good lefties upcoming. Romero will be 24 this winter, Berrios is 24, Mejia is only 25. He is getting more consistent, with the lowering of his pitch count. 5 starters right there, plus the others. I cannot see Erv returning.

    I don't think there are that many "tough" 40-man decisions. Yes, you have to add some players, but there is plenty to gain by subtraction. Johnny Field Matt Belisle Robbie Grossman Willians Astudillo Zach Granite Tyler Duffey Plus Morrison Forsythe among those gone next year.

    Rooker MN has Austin whom I expect will get a call up. Rooker would give them the opportunity to see him at first and the OF, like Austin, and DH as well. Both of them could take Morrison/Mauer's spots in 2019. And why not? I know, Joe is MN and all that. But IF the Twins want to move forward, 2 RH sluggers to up the power ante would be helpful. Look at the Oakland lineup last night. Featured 6 or 7 guys with double figure HRs. That's how the game is played more and more. Knock it out of the park. Morrison had a blip season last year, Joe is Joe, and should just let it go.

    Hey Grossman is still only 26. That makes him a YOUNG prospect in the Twins system at the big league level.

    The wheels have fallen off, and the manager is gassed. He should just step aside for his health, rather than suffer through all of the rest of this mess.

    Maybe the Papa John's / Twins Win promotion should change to pizza discounts when the Twins score more than so many runs per game. Make it a progressive promotion. Start at zero runs, 1, 2,3, 4 and cap it at 5.

    This will be what, the 7th sweep already? Time to move on. Start making changes. All over the front office and dugout. Going to be a lot of empty seats; season tix renewal rate drop; then maybe, just maybe some changes will be made when the $$ isn't quite so nice at Tarj Mahal

    Yet they continue, and add to that "Don't worry about it and let it affect your offense." Right. That works. The mindset this org is operating at right now is mystifying.

    Need a serious wake up call. Horrible OF defense, with no offense to support it. Nolasco basically has to strike the side out because the defense is terrible.
