    I don't mind Santana playing CF until someone better comes along. He seems to be getting better defensively there. I would like to see Hicks go to AAA now and see if he can get a call up sometime next month. If he can get some confidence back, he still is a very talented player. Maybe when that happens you can put him in CF and get Danny some SS time. Anyway around it, I would like more playing time for guys who might be around next year.

    I guess a one month flyer on a former prospect isn't terrible. Rather see Parm, Arcia and Santana get most the playing time though

    I wouldn't be surprised if Correia or Willingham are moved mid-August. They seem like perfect waiver deal guys. But then again, I'm not sure anyone is even going to want them.

    Usually they seem to have the extension wrapped up around mid-July. It sounds like these negotiations just drug on longer.

    I'm not sure trading for a CF is smart right now. Santana is good enough for this year and maybe we still get to see Rosario in September. Next year maybe Rosario/Hicks/Santana rotation until Buxton if he is ready. I'd rather see that than trading for a guy.

    I like the Fuld/Milone trade. 3.84 career ERA looks pretty good.

    I'm just not sure any of our players have much trade value. Willingham seems to be more of an August waivers trade guy to me as is Correia. Suzuki is the only guy I could see going, I just don't see a better catcher option right now.

    I'm not sure I buy Pinto as a viable option at catcher. He has issues throwing and blocking pitches. It doesn't seem like he calls very good games. Looking in the minors we just seem short at catcher right now. I am not going to be disappointed if they hold on to Suzuki even if it is to help the young pitchers that will hopefully coming up in the next couple months. Especially if we are not going to get much for him which it sounds like since there isn't much of a market for him.
