I clip the highlights when the Twins win and I try and do box scores I've been swamped the past couple days with college and my job so my passion project here has had to take an unfortunate back-seat. Tonight's post game will have box scores and highlights! Also hope you have a chance to tune around 7pm I have something special planned for Jackie Robinson Day!

So, how do we begin. Heading into the ballgame the Twins are shut out for the first time this year yesterday and need a big day from the bats to try and even the series. But despite that early on we had a pitcher's duel on both sides of the diamond. Homer Bailey and Tanner Roark through four innings combined, 8.0IP, 1H, 0R, 12 K's. We went from a back and forth pitchers duel to a back and forth game of battleship in the later part of the game as the score would go 1-0, 1-1, 2-1, 2-2 and headed into the 9th the Twins were looking to send it to extras. With Fernado Romero making his first appearance the Twins needed some innings out of him to spell the pen and he went 3.2IP but would leave in the bottom of the 9th with the bases loaded and turn things over to Tyler Duffey. Duffey would deal to Bichette, who was 0-4 prior to the at-bat, and Bo knows ballgame as he sent a screamer to Donaldson who knocked it down, but didn't have time to retire him so an infield RBI single is how the Twins are walked off. The only saving grace is that could have filled a bubble on your "Walkoff Bingo Card." The Twins turn to Kenta Maeda tomorrow to try and salvage the final game of the series and get some momentum before the longest homestand of the year begins on Friday. Bailey: 5.2IP, 3H, 1 ER, 9 K'sNelson Cruz: 1-3 HR, RBI, R

Catch-up Sometimes baseball is a tough customer. The Twins have 9 hits, a walk, and score no runs in a 3-0 win by Toronto. The Twins would ground into FOUR double plays and take themselves out of rallies all game and get shutout for the first time this year. The game wasn't all bad as Odorizzi gets his #1000 career strikeout, but in a season lacking consistent efforts, the Twins are again handed a tough loss. After going on a five game winning streak from March 28th- April 1st, the Twins have gone 4-6 since April Fools day. Pre-game 6:45pmCT Where to watch. https://www.twitch.tv/thuuuuney/ Starting Pitchers Toronto: Tanner Roark 3-0. 1.59 ERA, 22.2IP, 14 K's Minnesota: Homer Bailey 0-1, 1.62 ERA, 16.2IP, 12 K's Minnesota Batting Order RF Max Kepler .190 BA, 3 HR, 6 RBI SS Jorge Polanco .293 BA, 2 HR, 11 RBI 3B Josh Donaldson .308 BA, 2 HR, 5 RBI C Mitch Garver .315 BA, 4 HR, 9 RBI DH Nelson Cruz .269 BA, 2 HR, 10 RBI LF Eddie Rosario .311 BA, 3 HR, 10 RBI 1B Miguel Sano .212 BA, 3 HR, 6RBI 2B Luis Arraez .260 BA, 1 HR, 3 RBI CF Byron Buxton .232 BA, 3 HR, 4 RBIBroadcaster Prediction: The Bomba squad has been off to a rough start and I think the tide shifts today. Bomba Tracker - 2020: 24 - 2019 through 16 games: 26 Storylines 1. After being shutout for the first time this year, Rocco is bringing all hands on deck. Miguel Sano and Mitch Garver are back in the lineup as the Twins look to even the series in the battle for the north. 2. With Jose Berrios and Jake Odorizzi off to uncharacteristic starts, the Twins have gotten very good pitching from the back half of the rotation. Namely the newly acquired Jhouyls Chacin, (3 starts, all have been Quality Starts) and Homer Bailey, tooting the teams lowest qualified ERA, have been superb here in April. The Twins will lean on Homer Bailey today to try and give this depleted bullpen a day off. 3. With the bullpen being heavily taxed, the Twins have made their first roster move of the year. Willians Astudillo is being sent down to AAA to bring up the starter Fernando Romero (3.21 ERA in 18IP) in the hopes he can help spell one of the highest used bullpens in baseball early in April.

Obviously we still have two games to play in Toronto but things are looking bleak for the AL Central Champs here in April. GAME (of life) THREAD 3/13: MIN (and the world) vs. COVID-19.
thuuuuney replied to Diesel's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
I've been getting my baseball fix in by streaming every "game," they were supposed to play and it's been therapeutic for me. With my classes for college moving online and working every morning at my, "essential," job, it's nice to come here everyday. I was introduced to this community recently and being a Twins fan my whole life I wish I knew about it sooner. Regardless I hope you are well and to put a bow on the point you made with the community here I am very new here and have received nothing but kind words from everyone. I can't wait for when actual baseball is back like everyone else but I am loving this every second on this site so far. -
Catch-up After a dramatic win over Chicago, Minnesota improves it's road record to 8-2 and look get hot in Toronto before starting their longest homestand of the season so far. The Twins will turn to Jake Odorizzi today in the hopes he can go deep in this one after a 13 inning game yesterday taxed the bullpen. Bomba Tracker - 2020: 24 - 2019 through 16 games: 23 Storylines 1. The Twins get a bounce back start from Jose Berrios, some clutch hitting, and shutout ball from the bullpen. Consistency starting to build in the 2019 AL Central Division Champs early in April. 2. It's a border battle! Although not formerly rivals in the same division, the Twins head north of the border to take on the 9-7 Blue Jays and close out their road-trip on a high note before an off-day Thursday and a weekend series with Detroit. 3. Jake Odorizzi had a clutch outing last time out throwing seven shutout innings and picking up his first win of 2020. With a bullpen that used every arm but Devin Smeltzer in yesterday's win, the Twins need Jake Odorizzi to go deep in this one.

Easter Sunday Baseball: Twins (9-6) @ White Sox (6-8) 1:10pmCT
thuuuuney replied to thuuuuney's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
It's said that one of the reasons people love sports so much is because of the fact that it delivers us so many, "movie-like," moments and keeps you on the edge of your seat...todays game was the embodiment of that. To begin our breakdown of Easter Sunday I thought I'd share how the game started, with my favorite baseball score from the movie, Rookie of the Year. https://clips.twitch.tv/ResoluteBrightMangetoutKappaPride After a very labor intensive first inning for both clubs, the Twins would begin our scoring today courtesy of a 2-RBI single from Jake Cave. https://clips.twitch.tv/LittleMoralTeaPogChamp. Reynaldo Lopez for the White Sox and Jose Berrios for the Twins would find out very early in this game that is was going to be a battle of wills as neither would finish the sixth inning. Berrios was looking to bounceback from a rough outing in Minnesota where he didn't even escape the first inning before getting the hook, (Twins would lose that game 15-2), and he was one out away from six shutout innings in Chicago-enter Jose Abreu. https://clips.twitch.tv/InquisitiveFragileRamenDogFace The Twins and White Sox would duke it out some more and we headed to the ninth inning, Twins down to their FINAL out and their FINAL strike. Score reads 4-2 Chicago with runners at the corners, Bummer's 2-2 offering to Nelson Cruz.. https://clips.twitch.tv/HungryTastyDiamondSquadGoals. As I so often say in the booth, UNBELIEVABLE. The Twins get their clutch hit but the White Sox would answer as Jace Fry punches out Byron Buxton and we headed to the bottom half. And in the bottom half, the White Sox get ducks on the pond with the winning run 90 feet away. It's Yasmani Grandal vs. Sergio Romo..the 1-2 offering... https://clips.twitch.tv/BreakableCogentDugongFailFish. Just like our ballgame on Opening Day, the Twins headed to the 13th. It was lucky for them in Oakland and it was lucky for them in Chicago. https://clips.twitch.tv/CrepuscularFaintVelociraptorPlanking. Jorge Polanco puts a charge into one on a hit and run and the Twins lead 6-4 in the 13th. The Twins would go on to the bottom half and Taylor Rodgers out for his THIRD inning out of the bullpen, shut the door on Chicago and picked up his second win of the year. The Twins get some timely hitting, it wasn't pretty but a bounceback start from Jose Berrios, and hopefully carry some momentum in their cases as they close the road trip north of the border in Toronto starting tomorrow at 7:07pmCT. WP: Taylor Rodgers (2-1) 3.0IP, 3K's, 0ER Jorge Polanco: 3-7 HR, 2 RBI, 2 Runs Scored Player of the Game Nelson Cruz: 2-6 2B, 2 RBI, R Jake Cave: 2-6 2 RBI, 2 R -
After a quality start by Jhouyls Chacin, (5.0IP, 4H, 3ER) the Twins headed into the seventh only down 3-1. The White Sox would go guns a blazin' against the bullpen and put up a couple crooked numbers and eventually win the game 9-2. The final game of the series will be decided on Easter Sunday as the Twins turn to their ace LaMaKina, to try and carry some momentum into Toronto. Sorry for being late to posting this here's the Twins lone, "highlight," of the game courtesy of Mitch Garver's 4th Bomba of the year. https://www.twitch.tv/thuuuuney/clip/RoughDistinctJuiceBleedPurple

Preface For those who don't know, I am running a SIM on MLB The Show for Twins baseball. I do the color commentary over the games and it's been received very well so far. I hope you enjoy the game! Catch-up Rick Renteria must've had a great talk with his ball-club yesterday. After leaving a ton of runs out in the field Friday the White Sox come back with a vengeance and take game two 9-2. The Twins will turn to La MaKina, Jose Berrios, to try and take the final game of the series in Chicago. Pre-game 12:45pmCT, 1:10pmCT start. Bomba Tracker - 2020: 23 - 2019 through 15 games: 22 Storylines 1. Twins looking to build some consistency. In their last 9 games they only have one game with 10 hits as a club and are looking to try and light up the scoreboard. White Sox currently allowing the 2nd fewest hits as a club, (120), so something's got to give! 2. Chicago looking to win their second homestand of the year and win the series today led by the scorching hot bat of Yoan Moncada and Eloy Jimenez. 3. Jose Berrios went (2/3IP, 3H, 6ER, 4 BB) in his last start and is looking to come back to form today and hopefully provide a jolt for the Twins before they head north of the border and take on Toronto tomorrow.

Catch-up All across the board, the Twins had a fantastic ballgame yesterday. Timely hitting by Adrianza, a superb start from the Twins, "ace," in Kenta Maeda, and excellent work by the bullpen. Chicago left a ton of runners out on the field yesterday and Rick Renteria's White Sox will look to bounce back and even up the series today. Bomba Tracker - 2020: 22 - 2019 through 14 games: 22 Storylines 1. Twins look to build off an all around team win in yesterdays game as they tout out the team leader in Quality Starts, Jhouyls Chacin (2) today. 2. Despite leaving 10 men on in the final four innings, the White Sox look to even up the series today behind the hot bat of Eloy Jimenez (3rd in AL Batting Average). 3. The last Saturday day game the Twins had ended in a thriller with Eddie Rosario's Walk-Off Shot so we're expecting beautiful weather in Chicago for a great contest today!

Game Thread: Minnesota Twins (8-5) @ Chicago White Sox (5-7)
thuuuuney replied to thuuuuney's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
Summary After a poor homestand where the Twins took 2 out of 6 against Oakland and Cleveland, the Twins needed a great game top to bottom. Pitching, defense, timely hitting- and they got all of that in the win tonight. Sano began our scoring with a bomba to left,https://www.twitch.tv/videos/588862754, and the Twins would move out in front with the first score of the game 1-0. The Twins wouldn't waste anytime as the next inning Eddie Rosario continues his fast start in April with an RBI Double, his fifth of the season, and the Twins are looking good up 2-0 https://clips.twitch.tv/MagnificentFunFalconFrankerZ. After the third inning both teams would bear down very well and keep the game at 2-0 until the 8th inning. To set the scene, the bases are loaded after a single and Leury Garcia is up for Chicago. Last inning Chicago left runners on 1st and 2nd to end the inning and well, just take a loot at how Tyler Clippard handled the bases loaded https://clips.twitch.tv/StylishIronicSoybeanCmonBruh. So we headed to the 8th still leading 2-0 but as we've seen all year, the Twins have left runs in the field countless times and are in need of a clutch hit- enter Ehire Adrianza.https://clips.twitch.tv/SmilingReliableLettuceChocolateRain.And if you thought that was all for the Twins second baseman, think again https://clips.twitch.tv/CreativeInquisitiveBaboonPeoplesChamp, as he delivers a clutch web-gem to seal matters in the 8th with the score reading 4-0. The Twins go on and win it in the 9th 4-2 and move to 9-5 on the year with Jhouyls Chacin, who's already had two quality starts, set to pitch tomorrow for Minnesota at 1:10pmCT. Notables WP: Kenta Maeda 5.1IP, 3H, 9K's, 0ER. Ehire Adrianza 1-3 2-Run HR and Web-Gem in the 8th. Josh Donaldson 3-4 2B, R. -
Helfand: “early June start appears out of picture”
thuuuuney replied to Richie the Rally Goat's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
It really comes down to health. Manfred, along with other executives and big whigs in baseball, have proposed a number of alternatives for baseball this year but look at what other sports are doing. The NBA has a tremendous incentive to finish this year because of how much has already been played and Adam Silver's plan is to wait until things get better to announce the plan. I know they're trying to give us hope and all of us want baseball back but not at the expense of putting lives in jeopardy. One of the proposals I really liked was centered around July 4th being opening day. One that that would bring a cool angle, "America's birthday with America's pastime," and two hopefully by then the U.S. will have done well enough to localize the contagion and hopefully give people a chance to go to the ballpark. A lot yet to be seen though. -
Catch-up The Twins are coming off of a bummer of a homestand (2-4) and are looking to bounce back in Chicago. Meanwhile the White Sox are trying to claw back early in April and make a bid for the AL Central title for the first time since 2008. Pre-game 6:45pmCT Where to watch. https://www.twitch.tv/thuuuuney/ Starting Pitchers Chicago Carlos Rodon 1-1. 8.59 ERA, 7.1IP, 2.18 WHIP Minnesota Kenta Maeda 0-0, 2.70 ERA, 10.0IP, 0.80WHIP Minnesota Batting Order RF Max Kepler .224 BA, 3 HR, 6 RBI SS Jorge Polanco .291 BA, 1 HR, 8 RBI 3B Josh Donaldson .313 BA, 2 HR, 5 RBI C Mitch Garver .333 BA, 3 HR, 8 RBI LF Eddie Rosario** .333 BA, 3 HR, 9 RBI DH Nelson Cruz .260 BA, 2 HR, 8 RBI 1B Miguel Sano .179 BA, 2 HR, 5 RBI 2B Ehire Adrianza .182 BA, 0 HR, 2 RBI CF Byron Buxton .250 BA, 3 HR, 4 RBI** = Eddie Rosario: T-1st on team BA, (.333), HR, (3), 1st in RBI, (9). Kenta Maeda seeks his first win of the year after arguably the best start of his career on Saturday (6.0 IP, 2H, 14 K's, 0 ER) which resulted in a no-decision. 2. Tim Anderson is trying to make baseball fun again after a slow start,(.132 BA, 0 HR, 2 RBI), but the White Sox have been led early by the scorching hot bats of Yoan Moncada (12 RBI's in 12 games), and Eloy Jimenez (.375BA). 3. White Sox come into the ballgame 4-2 at home early in April while the Twins are 6-1 on the road thus far, something's got to give today!

Twins Sheet.pdf Preface As some of you may have seen on my profile, I have been running an MLB The Show SIM of the Minnesota Twins 2020 season. If you have not seen it yet, I let the CPU play while I do color commentary, run bumper music, and try my best to make it feel like you've tuned your tv to FSN. Below you will find a summary of the game with imbedded highlight cuts directing you to that point in the game so you can get a better immersive experience. Rough series for Minnesota. The Indians take the series 2-1 and the game 9-2. The Twins will take Thursday off and try to bounce back with the road trip to Chicago beginning on Friday at 7:10pmCT Homer Bailey goes 5 1/3 of No-Hit ball before giving up his first hit which lead to a huge 6th inning for Cleveland as they put up put up a huge crooked number and win the game 9-2. Firstly I apologize for getting to this late as I have been working more than usual on top of college but with the Twins having a, "day-off," today I should have a fully comprehensive collection of stats for the MLB as well as a scouting report for tomorrow's game!

For those who don't know I am running a Minnesota Twins SIM where I let the CPU play while I do color commentary. I run the broadcasts similar to a radio broadcast with bumper music and statistical breakdowns. The series is knotted up at 1. The Al Central lead is down to 2.
