I have been disappointed with certain aspects of this team and I feel you. I think fans and players need to see this public disenchantment so your mood fits all of ours. However... Defense hasn't been what I've been upset with this year. I think the D has been pretty good. It's been the offense... I would like them to be a little more professional at the plate from young to old. I know that bolded part is a nasty thing for me to say... but darn it... Good Golly... It needs to be said. Think about Scott Diamond... Down to Rochester he goes... He's struggling... Last year he did a good job keeping his ball down. This year he ain't... He doesn't have the stuff for ain't. 3. Think about Aaron Hicks... Down to Rochester he goes... He isn't hitting the ball... I'm not sure how I feel about the send down of Hicks... I'm 50-50 on it... I can see the need for the send down... But I also see the need for a CF at the MLB level when he is in Rochester. For all the OF Depth we have... It certainly isn't up the middle... WE NEED A CF'er!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4. Think about Oswaldo Arcia... We need power... We need it bad... It's starting to become clear that our bottom three in the order is just as capable of hitting the long ball as the middle three in our order... We Need Power... We need youth to develop... Welcome back Arcia... You fit both of those needs. 5. Think about Murphy's Law... Murphy's Law is "Anything that can go wrong... Will Go Wrong"... I was thinking that Murphy's Law can now be proven as fact using the 2013 Twins as example. I spent all of today... Trying to prove/verify that Murphy's Law does exist. I'm sad to say that I was unable to prove my thesis on Murphy's Law because every attempt made and every avenue travelled... something kept going wrong.

I just want to say... Personally... I will not slam Moore from the Royals... he needed pitching and he had a surplus of youth... he made a trade to go for it... Steep price but I can see the logic... I wouldn't have done it but I see the logic. Nor am I going to slam Terry Ryan... I wasn't expecting a parade this year. It was gonna be a long road and it still is. However... I do agree with Rogers's earlier post... Morneau, Willingham, Doumit and Plouffe have been big disappointments and I think that a large part of 2013 should be placed on their shoulders. Those guys had 100 dinger potential combined. We will be lucky to get 50 combined!!! We have 2 guys leading the team with 10 homers and its August. Pedro Florimon is 3 home runs off the home run lead and that kinda speaks volumes. If you are getting that kind of power output... You need to reach base a lot. That ain't working either.

If it was my call... Call up Arcia today... I like Clete he's OK but he's playing every day. We are starved for power and Arcia has power and he is our future. I don't care how many 1B, Corner OF's we have when Willingham comes back. Send down Bernier... Carroll can back up all 3 infield positions. We don't need a bunch of these guys right now. And don't give Morneau the lions share of playing time at 1B... Play him but not every day... Let Colabello and Mauer play some first. Just so we can give Colabello and Arcia and Herrmann and Willingham some playing time going forward. PTNBL or Cash coming our way!!! 3. Think about Willingham and Arcia... If Plouffe and Morneau are not hitting bombs... Who is supposed to hit bombs? Willingham and Arcia are the top two thoughts that jump into my head... Willingham is hurt and Arcia is in AAA. The Hammer will be back eventually... Could we see Arcia back sometime soon? 4. Think about Colabello... He could hit some bombs but he is probably trying to do too much right now. He's not in the lineup today... He had a pinch hit strikeout when we needed a run driven in from third yesterday. When you are a 55 year old power hitting rookie... It has to be tough... You are not a project... You have to produce right now. How can you not show up in Minnesota and not try to do too much. There is no time to watch him develop into something. 5. Think about Apartments...
