  1. It can all change on a dime. Unfortunately... None of the Twins are compensated poorly enough to carry around dimes.
  2. Why do I want to break into a Meat Loaf song and know I'm getting the lyrics wrong.
  3. i had great seats from his last start behind home plate. The guy really needed to keep the ball down and mix it up. He was up up up and he got scored on... He was down and he was effective. I also think he needs to use a breaking pitch more to off balance the hitters a little.
  4. yep... Trying to put a gap in my teeth as we speak... I never thought it would be as painful as it is... I think I have a better understanding for the need for novocaine now.
  5. Yeah but games are not "run by computer simulation". I have asked for permission to use that line from Mike Wants Wins and I'm assuming permission will come. If not... I will respect his cease and desist.
  6. It's possible that Buchholz just doesn't wash his hair... OR... Here's a list of possible substances in his hair: 1. Quaker State Motor Oil 2. Plutonium 3. Kryptonite 4. Keith Richards Urine 5. KY Jelly 6. Vegemite 7. Squid Ink 8. Robin Regurgitation. 9. Raindrops kept falling on his head.
  7. I know I know... (Hangs head)... It was so out of character... I typically have the diet of the average Puma.
  8. List of things Brian Dozier should not throw the ball at: 1. The Cameraman 2. Oswaldo Arcia 3. Chris Parmelee 4. Aaron Hicks 5. Ron Gardenhire 6. Terry Ryan 7. Liberace 8. Prime Minister David Cameron 9. Lindsay Lohan 10. TC Bear
  9. lol... Bilateral... That's funny... Seriously... The only thing I heard was it was the back part of his back.
  10. Maybe... I think Baltimore didn't want to call him up last year either... They had to because they were fighting for a playoff spot and Reynolds was struggling. He became their best 3B option. I think the possibility of the playoffs and a hole forced their hand.
  11. List of ways that Joe could have hurt his back: 1. Ducking out of the way from a shoe thrown at him by an angry Iraqi during press conference. 2. Pulling a train with his teeth. 3. Announcing to the team... Jump on my back... I'll carry you and the team actually jumped on his back. 4. Heavy Japenese Masseuse walking on back and forgetting to take her stilettos off. 5. Trying out for the next season of Dancing with the Stars and trying to prove something while auditioning after being rejected during his audition for American Idol and The Voice. 6. After being rejected during his audition for the Voice. He was offered an audition as a judge and he spun around in his chair too quickly.
  12. News from around the league... Manny Machado is on a bit of a hot streak ain't he. Also a fantasy question for the baseball heads. Do I consider dropping Jeremy Hellickson to open up a streaming SP spot... which I do need.
  13. On Easter Sunday... I ate some Ham and a variety of salads and vegetables. Sat on the couch... Watched a little baseball and drove an hour to home. Got out of my car with a stiff back and I've never had a back problem in my life. It lasted a week.
  14. Top Gun... Hang around for the game thread... You are a perfect candidate for our one sentence guy.
  15. I like that better... It's your line... You get full credit... So respectfully I ask your permission to use it.
  16. On the rotation topic. Worley and Pelfrey have to be better. Hernandez is barely hanging on... It's up to him... The front office has to be discussing who to run up the flagpole next and whento run them up the flagpole... I hope they are anyway. On Jimi Hendrix... To quote Neil Young... "There is no one in the same room as Jimi Hendrix on Guitar". Its not just Neil Young... It's all the guitar greats who point at Jimi. Pete Townshend saw Jimi play for the first time in England... Immediately after he went over to Eric Clapton's place and told Eric that he just saw the guy who was going to make them obsolete. He was serious and he actually thought he was done. When every great guitarist bows at his alter... It becomes almost indisputable. In my opinion... There is no way he could be considered a horrible musician. Just his unmatched guitar skill alone removes the adjective horrible. Add to that his arrangements... His arrangement of All Along the Watchtower was so good that Bob Dylan said.. "That's better I'm gonna use that arrangement in my concerts". As a songwriter... He wrote "Little Wing" anybody who can write that song gets cred from me. As a total package... He becomes a matter of personal taste... For my personal taste... Some of his material goes over the edge. While I admire his incredible skill... Personally... it isn't exactly what I'm looking for at times.
  17. lol... Is there a chance... Small chance... If Gladden would have said... 2nd best leadoff hitter in history was the perfect leadoff guy for me. Is there a chance someone would have said... What? No Henderson?
  18. It looks like in and out is his game plan on te mound.
  19. Oops... Hicks ain't gettin that one
  20. Escobar goes deep... #2 out of 6 this year. How bout that... Escobar has as many homers as Allen Craig and V-Mart. More homers that Hosmer.
  21. If she is like most wife's... Yes I think so. Ive been hit in the head by a can of Barbesol while sitting on the coach watching a Twins game. No words exchanged... I picked up the can... And went straight for my razor.
  22. I just moved ahead of Jokin on the prediction meter.
  23. We ain't done yet... Morneau has been RBI'ing it lately.
  24. T-Ball... I remember it well. On Defense... 1 or 2 kids would chase down every ball... 11 or 12 other kids would let them.
