  1. yea, he has still been very good with the game on the line....
  2. how was this guy ever good enough to be worth a 2 year 15 million contract with Washington a few years ago?. Please, someone explain.....
  3. If Baker were healthy, Marquis would be in triple-A. Hendricks/Diamond would have taken the Marquis spot. So Terry Ryan is the worst GM in baseball for signing a bad #5 starter? Bill Smith was responsible for the Capps mess. And if Capps keeps pitching well (8 for 8 in Save opportunities), we will trade him to a contender who needs a closer or setup man.
  4. capps is lights out! Trade bait!
  5. I agree, dude is an animal.
  6. tough one, 4 outs from a win. At least the Brewers bullpen is taxed after using 6 pitchers last night
  7. Yeah, we have to face Gallardo then Grienke. Win one of those and Ill be thrilled.
  8. When Mauer does what he is supposed to, this team has a nice lookin offense. Good to see Diamond get another nice start. Should take some pressure off the bullpen (they'll be needed tomorrow and Sunday). Brewers have used 6 pitchers already?
  9. Im sure many of you have checked out Fangraphs.com. This site is awesome, breaks down everything you need to know. I know people are begging for Mauer to swing at the first pitch and stop grounding into double plays. Is it possible, that he is in such a slump, that he thinks a walk is the best he can do? He knows that he is having trouble hitting and is trying to use walks to help the team out. Don't get me wrong, Im not making excuses for the guy, just curious what you guys think. His OBP is .391 (20th in the league). Willingham's is .410 http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=y&type=8&season=2012&month=0&season1=2012&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&players=0&sort=14,d Interesting...
  10. Cmon get Revere home here.
  11. Who said we didnt get anything in return for Delmon Young!
  12. This is going to be a brutal loss....
  13. Jeez i dunno. If Burton or Perkins have anything in the tank, I would throw them out there. Capps it pitching the 9th no matter the score.
  14. yeah, its too bad everyone but Capps pitched yesterday. Cant trust Frankie in this situation. Burton threw 14 pitches last night and Perkins threw 10. Maybe one of those guys?
  15. Good job bullpen! And Plouffe homered!
  16. Its coming in huge today. We have a nice looking bullpen leading up to Capps. Lets hope he can nail down a save!
  17. Mauer batting 2nd. Finally!
  18. Another nice win for Diamond. Lets hope he keeps this up! Dozier has been playing great too!
  19. a win when Blackburn starts should be worth 5 wins!
  20. Bout time! Put Carroll at 3rd. Well see how this new pitcher does on Saturday.
  21. This is definitely on Bill Smith. Gardy might be gone at the end of the year. No sense in firing him during the season. I hope they keep Ryan around, he hasnt had much time to get this team back on track since Smith left the cupboard to bare.
  22. 5-0. wow, if it wasnt for that 3 run inning on Friday night, we would have one heck of a streak going!
  23. Cmon guys, lets bust the bats open. Usually that can happen once every 7 games!
  24. Give Chang a shot...
