  1. Maybe just maybe the FO and Rocco learned something from last year and if Bader is bad that doesn't happen.
  2. After TC TC TC!!!
  3. Alonso turned down a multi year offer by the NYMs for 160-70 mil last year. The prodigal son returns home and NYMs save 100-110 mil.
  4. Relagation.
  5. Bader is what you get when you have no money and a FO that has convinced themselves life will end if they don't bring in a veteran RH outfield bat. Zero trust in their internally developed position players.
  6. Seems like every year bring in the "vet presence" pay them millions and block the rookie all while crying limited funds.
  7. Maybe a package including Caramargo. Catchers are valuable.
  8. They already have better in the organization right now and they should try not signing an aged veteran for his "presence" and go with what they have.
  9. Much bigger -SIGH-
  10. Let Coulombe be Coulombe. Sprinkle the TC four seam fairy dust on him if that doesn't work.
  11. I'm waiting until Strat-O-Matic runs the season 10,000 times before I bet any win totals.
  12. DET did.
  13. TC found a reliable 2 inning relief guy who formerly wasn't a reliable starter. Why return to him being a starter?
  14. It's a feedback loop and they do it damn near every year. Aged vet is signed for millions . Proves he's aged and washed up and is an anchor dragging the team down. He must play all year because he signed for millions. He blocks a rookie making league minimum and team never gets to see what rookie can do. Chances are rookie at least puts up numbers multi-milllion dollar vet does. Team wasted it's limited resources and rookie gets blocked. Rinse. Repeat.
  15. WHIP and inherited runners scoring is how I would judge a relief pitcher.
  16. You can pick a metric from a basket of metrics to define the "best bullpen".
  17. 1.5 dollar off the price of a hotdog and or beer
  18. Maybe the middle tier guys need to start raising a stink or form their own union. The top 10-20 players totally running the union isn't such a great deal for mid or lower level guys.
