  1. Hello TFFA. From the start on Twins Daily you gave me some good feedback and support. My game on the Twins Daily site has been out of whack of late and as the person I most respect on this site I hope you can keep some kind of faith in me. My last blog was pretty much a Twins Daily Suicide Blog. I have seemingly worked that out with JB, but I want you to know that that I am tightening up my game and i will put some good stuff out there. AA New Britain is where the real prospects go and you keep us informed to the utmost degree. I always look forward to your updates!

  2. Hello Seth. I feel like we got off on the wrong foot. I apologize for my past misgivings and hope to earn your trust as a baseball fan. You have a plethora of baseball knowledge and insight. You take the positive road most of the time and that is good. Where does negativity bring us? I hope you can give my candidacy for being a Twins Daily participant a 2nd chance.

  3. If Lawrie wasn't already branded a bad character guy, I might strike it up to accidental with the helmet tossing and hitting the umpire. It is evident he was out of sorts in his reaction to the strike call, he threw that helmet damn close to the umpire and there is no way anyone can assume where that helmet was going. It was careless and a heavy suspension is needed. I know he received a 4-5 game suspension, and some might find that to be suitable. This guy will make millions and millions of dollars in the future. Lawrie needs to get his head out of his ass and see things how they really are. Passion is good, but in this case it is wasted. 20 Games!
  4. To everyone on the Twins Daily site I give a heart felt apology for my last blog "Bark's Lounge Signing Out". I actually think that the TD site is a pretty special opportunity for Twins fans to unite, to argue in a positive manner and to express themselves baseball wise. I feel like I have been sloppy in areas and need to tighten things up. If you feel I singled you out in that last blog, I was only venting frustration from a rough day at the office. I think everyone adds a bit to this site... which is pretty damn cool. I hope I can have a second chance to be taken seriously, although I might try my hand at some humor (good or bad). I Do take it seriously. It's Fun... It's Baseball!!!
  5. First of all, put Eddie Rosario up for sale in the "Adopt a Prospect" forum. As of this blog I am finished with this "Twins Daily" stuff. For most of the time I enjoyed my time on this sight, but seemingly felt stifled as my blogs/threads/comments did not enact much response. Yes, in a way I can see why they did not. It seems like I made a mistake and should have left this sight well alone. The hierarchy on this sight have made it seemingly clear they want it fairly straight and narrow and do not want much negative or fun play. This is an awful team and I am astonished by the number of folks who wear rose colored glasses and continue on their praise for this broken organization. I love the Twins. but only to a certain extent. It seems from my viewpoint that the powerful higher-ups on this sight, bully and demean commentators for their lack of insight and lack of fanitude in such a smug way that it is hard to stomach... except for John Bonnes - he is realistic and seemingly kind. It would be funny if this "article" or whatever you guys call it make it to the front page. Adios, Bark - VIVA Saint Louis Cardinal!!!!

  7. In the haste of quickly putting out Eddie Rosario's Intro page, I forgot to add a few things: Height: 6' 0" Weight: 170 Bats: L Throws: R Offense: Eddie has seemingly been struggling at the plate for the Beloit Snappers the last 10 days, Hitting at a .216 clip in 37 AB's with 3 Doubles, 1 HR, 4 RBI's and stealing no bases. Nothing to get to down about as 10 days does not mean too much in the course of full season. Defense: Stat wise Eddie's numbers at 2nd base are not so good. In 25 games played at the keystone, Rosario has 8 errors in 128 chances, while turning 14 Double Plays, ending with a .938 Field Percentage. There is no reason to be concerned at this point because Eddie is in the beginning process of being converted from a CFer to a second baseman. More time will have to elapse before a proper judgement can be made. Rosario has also played 5 games in CF, making no errors in 15 chance. Note: I was thinking back to the 2010 MLB draft and recollected that Eddie Rosario was the 2nd highest rated high school player of that year coming out of Puerto Rico. Only behind former All-Star Shortstop Dickie Thon's son, Dickie Thon II. Dickie II was drafted a round later because of signability issues, but was eventually lured away from college and signed with the team who selected him, the Toronto Bluejays. So far, Eddie seems to be outdoing this other fellow Puerto Rican son. Hopefully Rosario can become a decent second baseman and stick there, but whether he plays 2B or the OF once he make it to the Majors. Twins fans will be pleased with his dynamic offensive skills.
  8. Nick, are you partaking in this adopt a prospect exercise?
  9. The Slama equation is perplexing to me. Maybe the Twins organization knows something we do not that is horrifying. Based upon performance - Slama should have been up with the big club a long time ago. I don't get it.
  10. Yes, statistically his plate discipline has improved... let's wait a few months for a better analysis. As far as defensive adjustments... I'll see if I can dig up something... we'll see. I would have thought Rosario would be one of the most sought after prospects for this exercise of "Draft a Prospect". I am receiving him as second hand goods.
  11. Eddie Rosario was born on September 28, 1991 in Guayama, Puerto Rico. He was drafted in the 4th round (135th pick overall) of the Major league Baseball Draft in 2010 as an outfielder - mainly Centerfield. Eddie has shown some promise in the 2 years since he has been drafted. His offense at times has been off the charts, and from what I hear he does a pretty good job in the outfield with a plus arm. With the glutton of outfield prospects the Twins Organization has, they (assumingly) proposed the idea of shifting Eddie to second base after the closing of the 2011 season, which in turn he accepted. If Eddie can stick at second base and his offense keeps progressing throughout each level of his minor league ascension we might have a super impact player on our hands. If he is moved back to an outfield position, which is possible, don't fret as I have heard scouting information that compares his ability to that of Bobby Abreu's - please remember to think of Abreu when he was in his prime - that is pretty damn good! As we all know, scouting reports and minor league stats can often lead us to utmost disappointment. Let us keep the faith and wish Mr. Rosario a happy, healthy and successful climb to being an impact Major League Baseball Player. I am going to keep my updates and analysis on Eddie fairly organic, without much fanfare or sabremetric work. But I will provide the necessary information to give people the opportunity to explore those kinds of questions on their own. Move Over Miguel Sano... You might have a stage to share with... 12. Thanks. I think the kid has a shot to be pretty good. Any advice on where to locate in-depth analysis? I am going to keep it pretty organic for the most part.
  13. Oh, what the hell. I'll take Eddie Rosario if you let me have him.
  14. It could be scary, but this is good news. Hey, we all had to learn how to ride a bike when we were kids and we all for the most part sucked and then became pretty good at riding a bike. Let's give Plouffe a friendly push, give him some time, and hopefully he will become pretty good at playing third base. The Twin's really don't have anything to lose on this as there really is no more to lose. Time is something we have this season. I hope it works out.
  15. As we all know it has been a very, very painful Twins Campaign so far and we are only a month and some change into it. There does not appear to be a light at the end of the tunnel in the near to not so near future. As far as being a Twins fan there is not much to be grateful for, but I did dig deep and realized I do have something to be grateful for as a Twins fan. Maybe I have been lucky, but I have not heard G.B. Leighton's "Twins Territory" song this year. For this I am Grateful... Very Grateful!
  16. With a team this bad, roster moves are unavoidable. Anyway it goes down, I like the Valencia move - I just hope Plouffe is given a patience ladened opportunity at 3B. Carroll and Casilla really bumb me out as potential third basemen - it is too soon after the Nick Punto era. I need a break from that type of hitting third baseman. As far as Komatsu, Mastroianni, and Clete Thomas: Maybe they are usable as back-up OFers on a lackluster team, but it seems that the Twins start these guys day in and day out. If that is the case why is Ben Revere in AAA? I am not even a Ben Revere booster. I think he projects as a 4th OFer who should only play RF in an emergency. You can hide his arm in LF, sometimes in CF, but definitely not RF. The point being is that I WOULD RATHER see Revere start in RF over those other fringe OFer's I mentioned earlier. Revere can bring some excitement with his speed and athleticism and seems like a good dude to have as a teammate - he didn't suck last year as a full time player if my memory is correct, he was serviceable. Liriano to the bullpen makes sense, but I don't expect him to have any significant impact.
  17. In theory the twins will probably get swept, but because of our track record and the fact that we are fielding one of our worst teams in recent memory we will probably take 2 out of 3. Baseball makes no sense. I'll bet over on Bautista hitting an HR during this series.
  18. Do you need some help digging and doing the Frankenstein thing or is Sylvia Brown in on it and giving instant access to your favorite manager spirits. I have more faith in the Frankenstein route... let me know if you need some help... I'll be there!
  19. Being that Joe is in the minors - I do not get to see Benson play, in turn I cannot have a self made honest analysis. Did he just fall flat on his face at Rochester (his stats indicate so)? I can only assume that he did, but statistics don't always tell the story. It is never good when one of your top prospects who is entering his mid-20's (24) takes a step back like this. Seth, in your opinion, besides statistics, why is Benson Back at New Britain?
  20. Where is "Fire Dan Gladden" when you need him? He would be the the perfect cat to fire "J-Dog Dungan". Enough is enough. Settle down your hyper hands and mind... oh, and by the way, would you like to be the ghost writer for my biography?
  21. 1987 was all about great hitting catchers for the Twins - To Hell with the Mendoza Line!!!
  22. Thanks for the update TFFA. Quick question - Do you think the Benson demotion was the right move? I'm a little erked by it. The Minor Leagues are for the most part about development. Early May seems like too soon of a hook for a well thought of prospect in the Twins system. Curious to hear your opinion.
  23. Well, I guess this is no surprise. Not too excited about Carroll and Casilla playing the hot corner. As far as Plouffe playing 3B, I'd have to see it to believe it. I hope they let him have a shot without a short leash. Overall this is a move that should have been made. Maloney for Walters is a wash. Maybe Walters will catch some lightning in a bottle.
