  1. Phillies are gonna clobber the Twins, I'm afraid.
  2. What was Castro doing, jogging in? If Correa doesn't make the catch, there's a good chance Castro comes up short. Typical lack of managing and coaching.
  3. So, does anyone know what was said between Ramirez and Anderson at 2nd base, before their Thrilla in Manilla?
  4. I was surprised how good looking the Twins home jersey (cream) with Twin cities across the chest looks. The uniform looks far more professional than the players wearing them.
  5. A smart catcher would curtail the glimpse with a little chin music.
  6. If the Twins team had to face Gibson it would be like a Veg-O-Matic commercial. He'd be slicing and dicing all game long.
  7. Somebody see if Trump's fact checker is available.
  8. Yes, indeed. They shakes their heads and mumble to themselves. They have to be annoyed with themselves more than the opposing pitcher.
  9. Twins always seem to struggle with the weaker teams, especially in the ALC. Kansas City and Detroit play like playoff contenders when they square off against the Twins, a lot of the time.
  10. I remember my cousin and I had just attended a Twins night game. While the fans were pretty passive most of the time, occasionally, you would run into a brief hassle or even a fight in the Met's parking lot. One night, we could see this huge crowd gathered, and we assumed some trouble was brewing. Wanting to check it out, we weaved our way to the center of the crowd. There was no fight. It was Harmon and Bob Allison sitting on the tailgate of a pick up truck, signing autographs. They must have been there more than an hour after game time, signing away.
  11. I was born in richfield, mn, just across the freeway from Met stadium. At night you could stand in our back yard and see the lights from the Met and even hear the PA announcer. My dad died when I was six and my brother took over as head of the household. He was all-city and state in baseball and hockey. Needless to say, his love of sports interested me. We went to many games at Met stadium. Our church was responsible for sweeping and cleaning up the litter at Met stadium. So as you can seen I had a very direct connection with the Twins and Met Stadium. My uncle was an apartment manager in Bloomington. Many of the Twins players lived there, during the season, or even year round. I met many of them as they would come and go from their apartments.
  12. He did just enough to guarantee the putting the game out of reach.
  13. He may just make that............in St Paul
  14. Definitely. There's going to be a time, due to injury, strategy or whatever, that Julien will have to face a lefty. I would like to see him have some semblance of experience against one. If we make the playoffs, the quality of lefthanders will be evident.
  15. For some reason, Gray makes me think of a player who goes all out for himself. He doesn't impress me as a team player or someone who really cares about anything, except his own stats. I don't know why I think that, he just comes across that way, to me.
  16. Another one of Gray's patented implosions.
  17. Twins may have to re-think their approach. They might want to take a few pitches to make rodriguez work a little more.
  18. As much as he likes to fish, maybe he has to increase his intake.
